How are WBJEE Ranks Calculated?

The ranks in WBJEE are calculated by arranging the scores secured in WBJEE in the merit order. Then, based on the sections in the WBJEE exam followed by the marks secured, the authority prepares two separate merit lists, ie, GMR & PMR. Read about them below:-

General Merit Rank : Abbreviated as GMR, it is calculated by taking the total score secured in both papers I & II of the exam. The rank, in this case, shall be allotted to the student in a descending order of the total marks secured in all the subjects. If there is a tie, then the tiebreaker rule will apply.
Pharmacy Merit Rank: Also known as PMR, it will be prepared based on the scores scored in paper 2. In this case, the WBJEE ranks will be allotted to you in a descending order based on the marks obtained in the 2nd paper. If there is a tie, tie-breaker rules will be applicable.
