Trinity Institute of Professional Studies Reviews

H
Good college with great facilities

Overall: Trinity Institute of Professional Studies (TIPS) is a solid choice for Journalism and Mass Communication (BJMC). Its strengths include experienced and supportive faculty, a practical curriculum with good labs, and decent placement support (companies like Zee Media, Times of India recruit). The infrastructure is good with AC classrooms and Wi-Fi. However, the campus is relatively small, which some students find a drawback. Overall, it's a good option for a strong foundation in media, with a focus on practical skills.

Placement: TIPS has a dedicated placement cell that actively helps students, including those in BJMC, find jobs and internships. They provide career counseling, skill development, and mock interviews. Many companies, including media houses like Zee Media and Times of India, recruit from TIPS, alongside other sectors. While overall placements are decent (around 50-60%), some BJMC students suggest that top-tier media specific placements could be more frequent.

Infrastructure: TIPS offers a modern and well-equipped infrastructure for journalism and mass communication students. This includes centrally air-conditioned classrooms, a well-stocked library, Wi-Fi across campus, and dedicated media labs (news, radio, audio, video, post-production) with industry-standard software like Final Cut ProX and Adobe Creative Suite. However, the campus size is relatively small, with some students noting a lack of large open spaces or sports grounds.

Faculty: The faculty at Trinity Institute of Professional Studies (TIPS) is consistently highlighted as a major strength. They are highly qualified, experienced, and knowledgeable, with many holding PhDs and significant industry experience (some with 10-30+ years in media). Students praise them for being supportive, approachable, and helpful, focusing on both theoretical understanding and practical application. They actively assist students with doubts, project work, and even internship opportunities, contributing significantly to a positive learning environment.

Hostel: Trinity Institute of Professional Studies (TIPS) does not have its own on-campus hostel facilities. Students needing accommodation typically opt for private hostels or PGs (paying guests) in the nearby Dwarka area. While the college doesn't provide direct accommodation, there are many options available in the vicinity, offering various facilities and price points.

The college is as worse you can think. Nothing is here to be proud of.

Overall: I didn’t choose TIPS out of preference — I chose it because I had no other option. I joined the counselling process late and ended up in the 3rd spot round, where this was the only college available. Like many students in my situation, I hoped for the best. Unfortunately, the reality has been far from ideal. From the beginning, the experience has been underwhelming. The faculty is unapproachable and intimidating, creating an environment where students are afraid to speak up or ask questions. Instead of being guided, we’re often dismissed or made to feel like we’re a burden for trying to learn. What’s worse is the serious lack of practical exposure. While students at other colleges are building portfolios, doing real-world projects, and gaining hands-on experience, we’re stuck with theory-heavy lectures that rarely connect with industry needs. In a competitive world, this puts us at a serious disadvantage. I didn’t come here expecting luxury — I came hoping to learn. But when a college fails to provide basic academic support and relevant training, it’s deeply frustrating. TIPS needs to do better. Because students deserve more than just a seat — we deserve an education that actually prepares us for the future.

Placement: Trinity Institute of Professional Studies (TIPS) falls short in several critical areas — especially when you weigh the cost of education against the actual value delivered. While the college prides itself on offering modern infrastructure and industry-relevant courses, a closer look reveals a different story. Much of the infrastructure, although functional, feels cosmetic. The facilities look good on brochures but often lack the depth and quality students truly need — with outdated equipment in some labs, overcrowded classrooms, and limited space for student recreation or collaboration. The faculty, though academically qualified on paper, varies drastically in terms of teaching effectiveness. Many students have expressed that lectures are often monotonous and theory-heavy, with little emphasis on real-world application. There is minimal focus on fostering creativity, critical thinking, or meaningful engagement. Several departments suffer from a lack of mentorship and academic guidance, reducing education to a routine rather than an enriching experience. Placements, too, don’t live up to the hype. While the college lists big brands in its recruiter list, the actual roles offered are often low-level sales or support positions with limited growth opportunities. The average package is modest at best, and many students have to look for jobs on their own. The placement cell’s involvement seems more focused on showcasing numbers than genuinely securing quality employment for students. In essence, TIPS presents a promising front but struggles with consistency and substance. For the fees it charges, students deserve more than surface-level professionalism and a generic academic experience. The college needs to shift its focus from marketing to meaningful reform — investing in better faculty training, research culture, and genuine industry connections that go beyond just ticking boxes.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure at TIPS is shockingly inadequate, undermining the very purpose of a serious academic institution. The so-called “walls” of the college are made of fiber panels—thin, flimsy materials that resemble temporary pop-up stalls rather than a place dedicated to higher learning. This choice of construction feels careless and cheap, not befitting an environment where students expect to focus and grow intellectually. Classrooms lack any soundproofing, creating a constant disturbance. Lectures from next door, phone conversations, and casual chatter bleed through the walls, making concentration nearly impossible. This not only disrupts learning but also disrespects students who have invested time, effort, and money expecting a professional and conducive environment. The absence of quiet, focused spaces reveals a glaring disregard for the academic experience. Beyond the classrooms, the overall infrastructure is severely lacking. There is no proper library, no dedicated student zones for relaxation or collaboration, and no architectural identity to foster a sense of pride or belonging. The entire campus feels hastily put together and unfinished, a stark contrast to the premium fees students are charged. TIPS must urgently rethink its priorities. Delivering substandard, makeshift facilities while charging premium fees is unacceptable and discredits the institution’s credibility. Students deserve an environment that matches their aspirations, not a fiber-walled facade.

Faculty: When it comes to the faculty at TIPS, the experience is a mixed bag — and unfortunately, often leans toward disappointment. While there are a few professors who are genuinely passionate and knowledgeable in their subjects, they are the exception, not the norm. The majority of the faculty either lack the required industry exposure or fail to engage students in a meaningful way. Teaching often feels mechanical, more like ticking boxes than inspiring minds. Communication between faculty and students is minimal. There’s little room for mentorship, academic dialogue, or intellectual curiosity. Doubts are brushed off, discussions are discouraged, and lectures are delivered more like monologues. In a world where education is rapidly evolving, this outdated, passive style of teaching leaves students unmotivated and disengaged. Moreover, many students feel that some faculty members aren’t even fully aware of the course material they’re supposed to teach. It’s hard to take academics seriously when your instructors seem barely prepared. This reflects poorly not just on individual educators but on the institution’s hiring standards and priorities. For an institute that promises quality education, TIPS falls short on one of its most critical pillars — its faculty. Students deserve educators who are not just qualified on paper, but passionate, prepared, and truly invested in their growth.

Hostel: Trinity Institute of Professional Studies (TIPS) doesn’t offer any on-campus hostel facilities — and that’s one of its most glaring shortcomings. For an institute that attracts students from various parts of India, the lack of even a basic hostel setup is not just inconvenient, it’s deeply disappointing. Students are left to fend for themselves in the local rental market, often paying high prices for PGs or flats in Dwarka, which isn’t exactly the cheapest area in Delhi. What’s more frustrating is that there’s little to no institutional support in helping outstation students find reliable accommodation. There’s no tie-up with PGs, no verified housing assistance, and definitely no accountability if students face issues with landlords or living conditions. This creates unnecessary stress for students who are already trying to adjust to a new academic and social environment. For a college that claims to offer a “professional” experience, ignoring such a basic need is unacceptable. A proper hostel isn’t just about a place to sleep — it’s about creating a safe, supportive, and student-friendly environment. Unfortunately, TIPS seems to have skipped that part entirely. So yes, while the college may offer degrees and digital classrooms, when it comes to providing a home away from home — there’s literally nothing.

Overall: I got admission in Trinity through IPU test. It was a nice college made one friend teachers were good. Don't depend on them for placements placements are there but okayish ......

Placement: I am not telling that there are no placement but beware of your future as it is not in that much good hand. Also start hurtling in your first year itself as the placements are mediocre.

Infrastructure: The campus is small. Not much space. Got our freshers and farewell in Radisson and taj. That was good. Overall not much space. Only a box like structure as building.

Faculty: Faculty was nice. Not attached much but ok. Hod ma'am is a bit strict but I liked her of all. Overall it was a okayish experience. Faculty help in viva though.
