The UEM Kolkata considers direct applications for most courses. It requires the candidate to attempt the IEMJEE examination to prove their abilities and interest in the selected program.
The exam is designed to test almost all aspects of the candidate's career profile before providing the admission confirmation. Students need to apply online for the IEM JEE and attempt the test after having their board examination results. Once the finalised list of shortlisted students is out, the admission staff will contact the candidates for further document processing and validation that completes the application procedure.
Few courses consider the external competitive standard entrance tests, such as the CAT / MAT / WBJEMAT for admissions into the Master in Business Administration course and JECA for admissions into the Master in Computer Applications program.
Students need to attempt these examinations and wait for the updates from the government to visit the counselling centre and validate if the seat is available or not. If available, they can submit the documents and collect the allotment letter in the UEM Kolkata admission cell. If the seat is unavailable due to any deviations in the cutoffs, the candidate has to only go for direct applications.
To get admission into UEM Kolkata courses, candidates must meet the specific eligibility criteria and qualify in relevant entrance exams like IEMJEE for BTech, BBA, and BCA, or exams such as CAT, MAT, WBJEMAT for MBA programs. Applications are accepted online through the official website, followed by selection based on entrance scores and, in some cases, group discussions and personal interviews.
