AP Inter Exams 2026 to be conducted in February:
The Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh (BIEAP) has decided to conduct the Intermediate Public Examinations (IPE) for 2026 in February instead of the usual March schedule. This change has been made to bring the state exam calendar in line with the CBSE schedule. With this advancement, the board will be able to resume classes from April for second-year students, thereby gaining more academic days for the upcoming session.
Changes have also been made in the examination system. First, the examinations will start with group subjects for science students. There will be only one subject examination per day. Previously, whenever there was a subject examination for MPC candidates, exams for other subjects were conducted on the same day for B.E.C. and Arts groups.
Now, if there is a math test for MPC candidates, that subject will be the only one on that day. With the introduction of the MBPC group, MPC students also got the opportunity to study biology. Therefore, since it is not possible to write two exams on the same day, only one exam is given on a single day. After all the science group subjects are completed, there will be language tests at the end. After that, the arts group exams will start.
The complete NCERT syllabus has been implemented in the AP Inter Curriculum. The facility of studying MPC with MBPC and biology has been provided to all first-year students. This year, Arts students were also given the choice to choose certain science subjects. Some science group students have chosen political science, history, and economics. They have chosen these subjects to qualify for either engineering or MBBS.
