MSU Baroda Admissions 2023: The MSU Baroda B.Tech merit list (final) through ACPC Gujarat 2023 has been released. The ACPC 2023 seat allotment round 1 declaration for MSU Baroda B.Tech admissions 2023 has been postponed and now will be published on July 6, 2023. As per the official record, out of 1,26,705 qualified students, 72,196 are male candidates while 54,409 are women.
The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, popularly known as MSU Baroda, was established on April 30, 1949, and is recognised by the Government of India under the Indian Universities Act, of 1958. Sir Pratapsinh Rao Gaekwad, Maharaja Sayajirao's Grandson, founded The Maharaja Sayajirao University (MSU) Baroda, and the Sir Sayajirao Diamond Jubilee and Memorial Trust. Today, it is one of the country's most esteemed higher education and research institutes with a total of two schools, three colleges, nine institutes, 14 faculties, and 111 departments under its umbrella. MSU Baroda has been ranked 30th in the pharmacy category in the NIRF Ranking List 2023. Its NIRF Ranking has slipped significantly. Its NIRF Ranking 2022 was 16th in the pharmacy category, 90 in the university category, and 149 in the engineering category.
The state university was accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with an “A” Grade and with a CGPA of 3.16 in 2016. MS University courses include 300+ courses in various disciplines like engineering, management, commerce, science, education, law, pharmacy, journalism, and computer applications. The courses are available at all levels, including undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral, and diploma levels.
The university has one main and six satellite MSU Baroda campuses, spread over 275 acres. The campus offers all required facilities and amenities for the growth of its student-teacher-staff community. It has 16 hostels, a health centre, a convocation ground, a press and stationery unit, guest houses, nine multipurpose auditoriums, eight seminar halls, two open-air theatres, an amphitheatre, an art gallery, an arboretum, a botanical garden, and several lecture theatres and conference rooms.
