AP RCET Part-Time Ph.D Eligibility Criteria 2025: Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam, Tirupati, on behalf of APSCHE, has commenced the online application process for AP RCET 2025 exam, which is a state-level entrance test for admission into Ph.D programs in various universities across Andhra Pradesh. Eligible candidates can submit their applications through the online portal without incurring late fees until October 21, 2025. To apply, candidates need to pay the application registration and processing fee through the AP Online Payment gateway. The AP RCET 2025 exam is scheduled to be held from November 3 to November 7, 2025.

AP RCET Part-Time Ph.D Eligibility Criteria 2025

Here is the detailed eligibility criteria for AP RCET Part-Time Ph.D. program:

  1. Nationality: Candidate should be of Indian Nationality or persons of Indian Origin (PIO)/ Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cardholder.
  2. Residency: Candidates must be residents of the State of Andhra Pradesh and satisfy the local/Non-local status requirements.
  3. Educational Qualification: Master's degree or a professional degree in the respective subject with at least 55% marks in aggregate or equivalent grade 'B' in the UGC 7-point scale.
  4. Relaxation: 5% relaxation of marks (from 55% to 50%) for SC/ST/BC (non-creamy layer)/Differently abled and other categories of candidates.
  5. Service Requirements for Part-time Candidates:
  • Priority 1: Regular Faculty working in the University or P.G. Centers.
  • Priority 2: Faculty working in Post Graduate and Professional colleges with at least two years of service (not applicable to faculty teaching Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Humanities in professional colleges).
  • Faculty/Librarians/Assistant Librarians in affiliated degree/PG colleges with at least two years of service.
  • Faculty teaching Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Humanities in professional colleges with at least two years of service.
  • Priority 3: Faculty working in Polytechnic/Government or private aided junior Colleges/Schools with at least four years of service.
  • Priority 4: Working full-time employees of any organization with at least four years of service.
  1. Additional Requirements: Admission into the Part-Time category will be made based on service seniority in the respective categories.
