Freeze Option
Find Key Highlights of the 'Freeze' Option-
Acceptance of Seat: The candidate accepts the allotted seat and doesn't want to participate in further rounds of counselling.
Confirmation Fee: Pay Rs. 20,000 within the stipulated time to confirm the seat allocation.
No Further Consideration: The candidate will not be considered in subsequent rounds of counselling.
For candidates who 'Freeze' their seat in the First, Second, or Third round: Pay the remaining University Fee by May 14, 2025.
For candidates who 'Freeze' their seat in the Fourth or Fifth round: Pay the remaining University Fee by June 10, 2025.
Float Option
Here are the key highlights of the 'Float' Option:
Candidates who haven't been allotted their first preference NLU can choose the 'Float' Option.
Confirmation Fee: Pay Rs. 20,000 within the stipulated time to exercise the 'Float' Option.
Seat Allocation: Hold the allotted seat and move to a higher preference NLU seat if allocated in a subsequent round.
If moved to a more preferred NLU, cannot go back to the previously allotted NLU.
Must pay University Fees after adjusting Counselling Fee & Confirmation Fee by May 14, 2025, if opted for 'Freeze' in earlier rounds.
At the end of the counselling process (Fifth round), must opt to either 'Freeze' the allocated seat or 'Exit' the Admissions Counselling Process.
Float' option is available till the Fourth round of counselling, but not available for the Fifth and final round.
Exit Option
With this choice, candidates decide to forfeit their allocated seat, effectively withdrawing from the counselling process.
They may choose to do this if they are not satisfied with their current allocation and do not want to retain the seat for future consideration.
If a candidate fails to exercise any option (Freeze, Float, or Exit) within the specified time, they will be considered "Not Interested" and will not be considered for admission, Will lose the currently allotted seat, will be removed from the Admissions Counselling Process and will not be considered in subsequent lists.
Note: Seat allotment is provisional and subject to final verification and validation by the concerned NLU.
