Gauhati University recently celebrated its week-long ‘Varsity Week’ with a plethora of activities.

The week- long event took off with a colourful rally in which thousands of students from Gauhati University took part actively.

"The Varsity Week provides a platform to the students wherein they can showcase their talent in different cultural and sports events. The university this year also witnessed various events like music, folk dance, sports, photography, drama, skit, mime etc." said official of the University.

The cultural rally was flagged off by Deputy Commissioner of Kamrup (Metro), Dr. M. Angamuthu. The open meeting and prize distribution ceremony was graced by eminent novelist Dr. Lakshmi Nanda Bora. Dr. Mridul Hazarika, the Vice Chancellor of Gauhati University, MGVK Bhanu, Principal Secretary, Govt. Of Assam and many others also attended the function. This was followed by a cultural night, in which, renowned singer Dikshu enthralled the audience with his spectacular performance.
