Himachal Pradesh School Holiday 2 September 2025 Update: The India Meteorological Department, Shimla, has issued a high alert across the states for September 1 and 2, 2025 (Monday and Tuesday) due to Heavy Rainfall in the state. Himachal Pradesh has been experiencing heavy rainfall over the past few days, with sudden flash floods due to cloud bursts and waterlogging. The state has experienced major infrastructure damage, with roads blocked or washed away, bridges washed away, and houses collapsing due to landslides. As per reports, the weather will be the same with gradual improvement from September 3. Himachal Pradesh School Holiday 2 September 2025 Latest Update

• There has been no announcement yet for the School Holiday for any of the districts yet. However, some areas are still experiencing heavy rainfall, and some are experiencing scattered rain. Waterlogged areas and areas affected by flash floods are expected to remain closed.
• Schools in Shimla have announced that to will conduct online classes and suspend offline classes until further notice to ensure the safety of their students.
• According to recent reports, Himachal Pradesh schools are likely to observe a holiday on 2 September 2025 in Kangra, Mandi, Sirmaur, and Shimla, with Kullu having already announced a holiday.
• Schools have been declared a holiday as of September 1 in 10 districts: Shimla, Sirmaur, Solan, Kangra, Mandi, Chamba, Hamirpur, Bilaspur, Una, and Kullu subdivisions.
• Mandi, Kangra, and Sirmaur are under Red Alert for September 2, while other districts are under orange alert across the state.
