IIT JAM 2026 Application Form Correction likely to begin by mid-November

The IIT JAM 2026 Application Form Correction will likely start by November 15, 2025. The registration process was held online from September 5 to October 20, 2025. Students will be able to make certain changes to their application forms during the application correction process. Fields of information such as father’s name, mother’s name, address, contact details, and the like cannot be changed or modified in the application form correction process.
To access the IIT JAM 2026 correction window, all students must enter their login credentials, like the application number, email address or password. No requests for changes will be further entertained once the correction window is closed. The applications with inaccurate information will be automatically discarded after the application correction concludes.

Students will be able to modify only these fields of information:

• Gender
• Test City or Exam Centre
• Caste Category

Some important instructions to remember for participating in the application correction process are as follows:

• Students who want to change their gender from female to male or transgender will have to pay Rs 900/- per paper.

• For changing your caste category from SC/ST to General/OBC, students will have to submit a payable amount of Rs 900/-

• For any other modifications, an amount of Rs 300/- is mandatory to submit.

• The acceptable modes of payment are Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking and UPI.

• All students must take out print copies of their corrected application form for future use.

The IIT JAM 2026 Application Form Correction will be available for a short period of time, and only limited changes can be made through the process. No student will be given an extension to correct their application errors beyond the application correction deadline.
