
JEE Main Paper Review 2025 April 2 Shift 1: NTA begins the JEE Main April 2025 exam on April 2, with the first session running from 9 AM to 12 PM. This three-hour test will assess students' knowledge in key subjects like Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. On the first day, the first shift will include a total of 75 questions, with 25 questions from each subject. The exam is worth a maximum of 300 marks, and all questions are in a multiple-choice format. The popular engineering entrance test is conducted in online mode. Therefore, candidates will not carry any physical copy of the paper. Around 10 to 12 days after the exam, students can expect the official answer key for JEE Main 2025 Session 2 to be released. This answer key will help them check their responses and understand how well they performed.

JEE Main Exam Analysis 2025 April 2 Shift 1: Subject-wise students' feedback
Here are the major highlights of the first reactions of test takers who appeared in Day 1 Shift 1 April 2025 examination to help test takers appearing on subsequent days have an idea of the level of the paper.
- As per the students who have appeared for the exams, the question paper was moderately difficult.
- Mathematics includes more of conceptual questions and less of calculative questions, which is why the question paper was not time-consuming.
- The chemistry section was balanced with an average of 7-8 questions from Inorganic, Organic and Physical Chemistry. Some questions from chemistry were tricky but doable.
- Most questions from the chemistry section were calculation-based, which was time-consuming. Students have expressed that Chemistry consumed most of the time, which is why less time was available for mathematics.
- The physics section was the easiest of all the sections. It was the least time-consuming section.
