Eligibility Criteria for Jharkhand Eligibility Test 2024-25
Candidates should have the following eligibility to apply for the Jharkhand Eligibility Test:
Educational Qualification:
The candidates should have a Master’s Degree (or an equivalent degree) from a recognised university in the subject.
They should have obtained a minimum of 55% Marks (or Equivalent Grade) in their post-graduation.
A relaxation of 5% (that is, 50% marks) will be given to the candidates of SC, ST, OBC (non-creamy layer), and PwD categories.
Appearing Candidates:
Final year Post Graduates/Result Awaited candidates may also apply provisionally, subject to their fulfilling the eligibility conditions before the last date of result declaration.
Age Limit:
No age limit for the JET exam.
Exam Pattern JET 2024-25
The Jharkhand Eligibility Test is a two-objective paper examination like UGC NET. Both papers will be held in one session continuously.
Paper I: General Awareness and Teaching/Research Aptitude (100 marks)
Paper II: Subject-Specific (Selected by candidate) (200 marks)
Type of Questions: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
Marking Scheme: Every Question carries 02 marks; no negative marking.
Exam Mode: Offline (Answer Sheet by OMR Sheet)
Qualifying Criteria: Candidates have to meet the minimum qualifying marks as decided by JPSC for each category.
Candidates are suggested to complete the registration and payment process before the due date in order to avoid any last-minute server issues. The dates for the JET 2024–25 exam and for the release of the admit card will be notified shortly on the official JPSC website.
