
JNV Admission 2025 Registration Last Date Approaching:
Students currently in Class 5 and aiming to join JNVs for the 2026-27 academic year must submit their online applications through the official website, i.e. cbseitms.ncil.gov.in or navodaya.gov.in, on or before July 29, 2025. This date is also the last day for fee payment, and missing this deadline will make candidates ineligible for the entrance test. Process to apply for JNV selection test is completely online. Students and parents must first read the prospectus completely to ensure their child is fulfilling the eligibility criteria for JNV Class 6th admissions. OBC candidates who are not mentioned in the central list must apply as general candidates. Once the registration window closes, dates for admit card release will be announced by Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti. Admit card is usually released a month before the exam date as per the past trends data.
The Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST) for Class 6 will be held in two phases: the first phase on December 13, 2025, at 11:30 AM, and the second phase on April 11, 2026, at 11:30 AM. Only those who complete the registration on time will receive their admit cards to sit for this competitive exam, which decides admission to over 650 JNVs across India.

Candidates can check below the instructions to apply online for the JNV selection test for class VI admissions 2025:- Access the Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) official portal to fill out the online application form.
- Ensure you meet the eligibility criteria by reading the prospectus. The student must have studied Class 5 in a recognized school of the district where the JNV is located and must be between 9–11 years old as of a specified date in the prospectus. Residential proof for the district is mandatory.

Gather the following in digital format (JPG, 10–100 KB):
- Student's Photograph
- Scanned Signature of parent
- Scanned Signature of candidate
- Aadhaar details/ Residence certificate issued bya competent Government authority
- Category Certificate (if applicable)
- Resident Certificate (if applicable)
- Click on the link " Click here for Registration for Class VI JNVST (2026-27) ” on the homepage.
- Answer in Yes or No a couple of questions posed in the online application form.
- Enter the valid Aadhar Number in the end.
- If aadhar number is not available, then upload any Government approved residence Certificate of the parent from the District in which Candidate studied Class V.
- Upload the above mentioned documents in prescribed format.
- Choose your preferred examination center and the language medium for the test.
- Carefully review all entered information for accuracy.
- Submit the form only when you are sure all details are correct
- After submission, note down or print the application number for future reference.
- It is advisable to take a printout of the submitted application form for your records.
