NIRF Ranking 2025:
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan will release the NIRF Ranking 2025 for universities and colleges today, September 4. The official release time has been confirmed as 11 AM. The event is being hosted on the official YouTube Channel of the Ministry of Education, and the live streaming will begin at 11 AM. Through NIRF Rankings 2025, the list of colleges and universities placed in the top 200 will be released. The categories in NIRF ranking include Engineering, Medical, Dental, Pharmacy, Agriculture, Law, Colleges, Universities, Research and Innovation rankings. Last year, new categories like the Open University ranking and the State Public Universities Ranking were included.
Indian colleges and universities that have given consent to participate in the NIRF Ranking 2025 are gauged through a set of parameters. The parameters include teaching & learning resources, research and professional practice, graduation outcome, outreach and inclusivity and perception. For each parameter, there is a score metric, and the institutes are ranked based on the overall score. Students must note that NIRF rankings are purely based on the NIRF data submitted by the institutes and a thorough inspection by the expert committee.
NIRF Rankings 2025 mark the 10th edition of the Indian university and college ranking. The NIRF Framework was launched in 2016. Over the years, the Ministry of Education has introduced new categories. Dental colleges, research institutes, innovation, open university, pharmacy and state public universities were the new categories launched by the Ministry of Education over these years. It will be surprising to see if any new category is being introduced in the NIRF Rankings 2025.
