
Jaipur-based Poornima College of Engineering inaugurated the one week Faculty Development-Programme: PASSPORT-2016 at Seminar Hall, PCE on July 02, 2016.
PASSPORT- 2016 has been designed to introduce new faculty members to the Poornima Family and its philosophy. The theme of the FDP was Outcome-Based Education (OBE). and thus, academic leaders of PCE will train the faculties with new initiatives and effective learning to make outcome-oriented education rather than effort oriented.
New Faculty members were welcomed into the institute by Tilak Ceremony. Dr. Ajay Khunteta, HoD, Dept. of CE welcomed all the faculties in PASSPORT -2016 through his welcome address.
Director, PCE, Dr. Om Prakash Sharma, presented the Vision of PCE which inculcates the crux of the whole training programme. While addressing the gathering, he said that google classroom and Moodle types of activities are the new features added for session 2016-17.
New initiatives to be taken care of by Dept. leaders / HoDs for students to be benefited in placements, getting good GATE score, making new innovative projects and bringing laurels in the form of merits in RTU results. He stressed on that faculty should work hard to get consultancy project and good research papers as the outcome of their keen interest.
Assistant Professor, Dept. of CE, Sunil Gupta, presented the vote of thanks. Inaugural Session ended with Poornima Gaan recited by all old and new faculty members. After which they were requested to disburse to their respective depts. for the first Department Meeting of the session 2016-17.
