Telangana Govt. Inter College admission 2025-26: The number of students enrolled in the first year of intermediate in junior colleges of the Telangana government has increased considerably in the educational year 2025 26. Despite concerns that the expansion of KGBVs and Gurukuls will impact the admissions of government colleges, more students have chosen to join these institutions.

Last year, 83,635 students were admitted to 430 government junior colleges. This year, the figure has increased to 92,117, which is an increase of 8,482 students . It shows increasing popularity and trust in government colleges for intermediate education.

Many new initiatives have contributed to this development. Online coaching for competitive exams like EAPCET (EAMCET), JEE, and NEET is now available through platforms such as Physics Wallah and Unacademy. Additionally, parents are regularly informed about the attendance and progress of students.

Colleges have made it mandatory for students to participate in weekly activities to ensure overall development. One day is dedicated to the game, another to meditation, and another to laboratory experiments. The purpose of these activities is to build physical, mental, and practical skills with academics.

The Department of Inter-Education has introduced the HRMS portal for teaching and non-teaching employees, which will help manage holidays, prevent unauthorized absence, and maintain an accurate record. With these initiatives, the government is strengthening both quality and administrative efficiency, which ensures better results for students and staff.

Here are the important instructions by TGBIE to government junior colleges -

  • Students should participate in all classes and participate in weekly activities such as sports, attention, and laboratory experiments.
  • Parents should check the appearance updates and progress reports regularly.
  • Online coaching sessions should be used effectively for EAMCET, JEE, and NEET. Teaching staff should use HRMS portal for leave applications and other services. Unauthorised absence by staff will not be allowed.
  • The holiday should be recorded accurately.

The rise in first-year Intermediate admissions shows the growing trust in Telangana government junior colleges. New educational initiatives and better employee management are helping to provide better education and overall development for students.
