WBCAP Round 1 Admission 2025: The WBCAP (West Bengal Centralised Admission Portal) Round 1 Admission for 2025 is currently ongoing, with the registration deadline extended to July 30, 2025. This extension allows students extra time to apply online through the official portal, i.e. wbcap.in, for admission to UG courses across 461 government and government-aided colleges affiliated with multiple universities in West Bengal. The merit list for Round 1 will be published once the round 1 registrations are over. The admission window for first-round seat acceptance will tentatively start in the first week of August. Following this, an upgrade round allotment and admission phase occurs, with those admissions closing tentatively by the second or third week of August.

Physical document verification for round 1 admitted candidates is tentatively scheduled in second week of August. Classes for the academic session 2025-26 are set to commence by the end of August or in September, if delayed. WBCAP provides a single-window platform for students to apply for various UG courses conveniently, allowing them to choose preferred institutions and programmes from over 7,271 courses offered across West Bengal's higher education institutions.
