New Delhi- The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) is to release the JoSAA seat allotment round 2 on September 28, 2022. The deadline for responding to the query for round 2 is October 2, 2022. The candidates are allotted seats in the JoSSA participating colleges based on their preferences for colleges and courses. Candidates who passed JEE Main 2022 are eligible for admission to NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs, whereas candidates who passed JEE Advanced 2022 will be eligible for admission to IITs.

What After JoSAA 2022 Round 2 Seat Allotment?

Candidates will be given three options following the announcement of the JoSAA Round 2 seat allocation decision. -

• Freeze - The applicant decides not to participate in any additional JoSAA counseling sessions in 2022 because they are satisfied with the seat they have been given
• Float - The applicant would like to be taken into consideration for other institutes in subsequent rounds of the JoSAA seat distribution even though they are content with their existing seat
• Slide - The applicant accepts the given seat but is open to enrolling in a more advantageous course at the same institution
• Uploading  Documents- After accepting their seats, the students should upload the scanned copies of the necessary documents in accordance with the JoSSA portal's guidelines.
• Payment of Fees- After accepting or freezing the allocated seat, the next step is to pay the seat acceptance fee, which is Rs. 35,000 for general category seats and Rs. 15,000 for reserved category . Candidates who accept the seat should pay the seat acceptance fee using an e-challan or SBI Net Banking.
• Document Verification And Reporting- Candidates should report themselves along with the original documents at the reporting center on the specified dates, without fail, after the uploading of their documents

What After JoSAA Round 2022 Seat Allotment is Over?

Candidates who have been allotted seats in the JoSAA round 2 seat allotment and have accepted their seats can carry forward with their admission process. But, what about the candidates who have not been allotted a seat or are not satisfied with the seat or college or course that has been allotted to them. Such candidates will have to wait for the 3rd round of JoSAA Seat Allotment 2022. The JoSAA 2022 round 3 of seat allotment will be released on October 3, 2022. Candidates will be able to check their allocate seats on the official website after logging in with their login credentials such as Roll No and Password.
