NEET 2025 Cutoff Marks : The National Testing Agency will release NEET cutoff marks 2025 soon. Until then, candidates can check out our anticipation based on previous years’ trend, on the page below, to know whether NEET 2025 cutoff marks will increase or decrease, or remain the same, for that matter. The previous years' figures have been provided as well for better understanding. From our experts' viewpoints, if there are many toppers scoring high marks, like 61 students who scored full marks in 2024, then the cutoff will increase; however, if the number of toppers is less, like 1 to 5, then the cutoff may likely decrease. As of now, the cutoff has never remained the same for any year for any category, therefore cutoff remaining the same is highly unlikely.

Will NEET 2025 Cutoff Marks Increase or Decrease?

Read the following analysis to know how the cutoff marks are likely to decrease this year:
  • Based on the analysis drawn by the experts, NEET cutoff marks 2025 is most likely to decrease from 2024 .

  • The cutoff is highly fluctuating based on the total number of students who score high. If there are more high-scorers, the cutoff will be more and vice-versa.

  • One thing is certain - there were no anomalies by NTA in 2025, which means the cutoff will likely return to the levels seen in 2023 and 2022.

  • It is most expected that the cutoff will be lower than 2024, which had the highest cutoff marks due to 61 toppers scoring full marks (720 out of 720), resulting from paper leak and NTA anomalies.

  • It was later reduced to 17 toppers, but it affected the cutoff only by -1 mark.

  • If there are no 720/720 scorers or there are only a few toppers (highest marks) at 720, 716, or 715, it will lead to a decrease in cutoffs.

  • Only if the number of high-scorers is as exponentially more as that of 2024, then only the cutoff is likely to be at par with that of 2024.

  • But since the paper of 2025 was tough and no paper leaks happened, even a few hours before the exam, the number of high-scorers is likely to be similar to that of 2023 and 2022.

  • Historically, NEET has never seen so many toppers, leading to a spike in cutoff marks. From 2021 to 2024, 2024 indeed had the highest cutoff for all categories.

  • Specifically, in 2023, only two toppers scored 720, resulting in a lower cutoff. In 2022, no student scored 720, and four students scored the highest marks that year at 715, leading to an even lower cutoff since no students obtained full marks.
