AKTU Admission 2024 - Dates, Form, Online Process, Fees

The AKTU admission process for 2023 will be based on the scores of various entrance examinations like the JEE Main, CUET UG, CUET PG, NATA, and, GATE. The applications for CUET UG 2023 were reopened on up till April 11, 2023. The CUET UG exam will now be held from May 21, 2023, to May 31, 2023. Further, the last date to register for the CUET PG 2023 test is April 19, 2023. Thereafter, the exam will be held from June 1, 2023, to June 10, 2023. For the AKTU admission process for B.Tech 2023, the JEE Mains session 2 exams concluded on April 15, 2023. 

AKTU is one of the most prestigious technical universities in India. It offers UG, PG, and, PhD courses in the disciplines of technology, pharmacy, architecture, management, etc. The university was previously known as the Uttar Pradesh Technical University and it has more than 750 colleges affiliated with it at present. The AKTU admission criteria for its flagship course, B.Tech, is based on the JEE Mains ranks followed by UPTAC Counselling. For various other UG and PG courses, candidates must qualify for the CUET UG and PG exams respectively and clear the counselling rounds conducted by AKTU. 

The AKTU admission last date 2023 will vary as per the various entrance exams. For JEE Main exam, the session 2 exam ended recently on April 15, 2023. The result for the same is expected to release on April 30, 2023. The last date to register for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET UG) was extended up to April 11, 2023, by the NTA. The exam is scheduled to be held from May 21, 2023, to May 31, 2023. Moreover, for AKTU admission through CUET, the last date to register for CUET PG 2023 is April 19, 2023. The exam will be held from June 1, 2023, to June 10, 2023. The NATA exam for B.Arch admissions will be held in 3 slots on April 21, 2023, May 28, 2023, and, July 9, 2023, respectively. Registration for session 1 closed on April 13, 2023. Registration for session 2 will close on May 13, 2023, and, for session 3, it will close on June 24, 2023. The AKTU admission procedure varies for the UG, PG, and, PhD courses. The details about the admission process of the university are mentioned below. 

AKTU UG Admission Process

For admission to B.Tech and B.Arch courses at AKTU and the affiliated colleges, students need to register themselves on Uttar Pradesh Technical Admission Counselling (UPTAC) portal. It must be noted that the B.Tech admission is based on JEE Main, while the admission to B.Arch courses is done through NATA. It is mandatory for the aspirants to appear for NATA and JEE Main first if they seek admission in these respective courses. Some other courses at the UG level are based on merit in the qualifying examination, while a few UG courses are on the basis of CUET UG.  For AKTU admission through JEE Mains, candidates must secure a good rank in the examination. 

AKTU PG Admission Process

Admission to some of the postgraduate courses is based on CUET PG, while a few courses offer seats to eligible students on the basis of merit of the qualifying exam. Only for MBA, the admissions are determined by the CMAT, CAT, MAT, ATMA or XAT scores.

AKTU PhD Admission Process

Admission to the PhD programme is accomplished through a written entrance exam, followed by an interview round. The final merit list takes into account the candidates' performance in the written test and interview, as well as their previous qualifying examination marks. Students will be chosen based on their performance in the written test, followed by an interview and a presentation.

AKTU only offers PhD admission once a year in the July or August session. Students can apply both online and offline. The AKTU application form for offline mode can be downloaded from the official website. The application form must be completed and sent to the AKTU address along with all required documentation. Students can directly fill out and pay the desired application fee when using an online application form. The final application form received may be confirmed by the University's screening committee, which is chaired by the Vice-Chancellor.

Shortlisted students must present the following documents to the selection committee following the interview round:

• The non-refundable fee (as mentioned).
• Class 10 certificate as proof of date of birth.
• SC/ST/OBC certificate (if any)
• Certificate of No Objection from the current employer (if any)
• Financial assistance certificates and publications.
• A synopsis of the proposed research project or thesis.
• Two copies of the supervisor's detailed CV.
• Two letters of recommendation.

The admission criteria for AKTU admission 2023 vary from course to course. AKTU Eligibility Criteria 2023

The application process to fill out the AKTU admission form 2023 will be held in online mode. Candidates aspiring for admission to any of the affiliated colleges of the university must apply online to the official website of AKTU. Apart from this, admission to various UG and PG courses is conducted through CUET admission process. The detailed steps for the application process are mentioned below. 

• Visit CUET's official website (cuet.samarth.ac.in).
• Click on the desired course's Application link.
• Now, register by providing information such as your name, email address, mobile number, and so on.
• Create a password for future logins during the registration process, and then click the 'Submit' button.
• After successfully registering, you will receive a registration number via email and mobile phone.
• Fill out the application form with every detail using the password and registration number.
• Upload scanned images of your signature and photograph.
• Pay the application fee now with a debit card, credit card, or net banking.
• Following payment, you will receive a message confirming successful payment to your email address and mobile number.

Note: After filling out the CUET application form, candidates are also required to fill out the AKTU admission form for the respective courses. 

AKTU Lucknow Counselling

Candidates must adhere to the UPTU counselling process, which is detailed below for their reference.

• Applications must be submitted online along with the necessary documentation in order to register for counselling sessions.
• They must pay the application fee in addition to the Rs 12,000 for SC and ST candidates and Rs 20,000 for general and OBC candidates.
• Following the document verification, candidates must fill out their options, which they can do in accordance with their preferences.
• Seats for AKTU admission 2023 will be allotted to students based on their performance in the counselling rounds.
