AKTU Creates a Robot Based on Finger Gestures

Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University or AKTU recently, by utilising machine learning technology created a robot that can be instructed or guided using the fingers of both hands. Anuj Sharma, associate dean Innovation and Incubation Centre, AKTU along with his team of students created the technology. There are technologies and robots that work on verbal instructions given by humans, popular devices used for playing music, internet searches, and others. Here machine learning was used to create a robot that can be controlled with the fingers on both hands. People with disabilities, particularly the visually impaired, deaf and mute, and the elderly, can use the robot to perform and complete a variety of tasks. The robots not only will move using finger gestures but will also complete all tasks as programmed.

This technique was developed using computer vision and artificial intelligence. If there is more than one robot with the fingers of the right hand, they will be chosen. For example, the robot with data stored on the thumb will be activated. Similarly, the robots will work on other fingers as well. They are and can be controlled using a computer and a desktop. The right-hand finger will be used to select the robot, while the left hand will be used for instructions such as questioning the robot to turn on the switches, etc. with a thumb, among others.

U.P. governor dismisses AKTU registrar amid allegations of financial irregularities

After severe charges of financial irregularities against Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University (AKTU) registrar Sachin Kumar Singh, Uttar Pradesh governor Anandiben Patel has ordered his immediate suspension.

Following serious allegations of financial irregularities against him, Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel has ordered the immediate suspension of Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) registrar Sachin Kumar Singh. The phone calls to the suspended registrar went unanswered. In an order dated March 24 (Friday), the governor established a three-member final enquiry committee to investigate Sachin Kumar Singh's misconducts, which were found to be prima facie proved in the preliminary enquiry report dated March 20, 2023 of enquiry judge RC Mishra.

During Singh's suspension, the acting vice-chancellor of AKTU, Lucknow, is to hand over control of the registrar's office to another officer, according to the order. Many complaints have been lodged against Singh, according to the governor. Prof. Anurag Tripathi, ex-controller of examinations at AKTU, filed a complaint with the technical education minister on March 22, last year, alleging serious financial bungling and maladministration by Singh in collusion with then-AKTU VC Prof Pradeep Kumar Mishra.

The minister forwarded Anurag Tripathi's complaint, along with his cover letter, to the governor for action. The technical education minister forwarded to the governor another complaint received by him on February 19, 2023 against Singh and former AKTU VC prof Mishra from another complainant, KK Rawat, senior advocate, district & sessions court, Barabanki.

According to the complaints, Singh, in collusion with the former VC, committed massive waste of funds in items such as road construction on the campus of the Institute of Engineering & Technology, Lucknow, a constituent college of the university, in assigning the repairs work of two constituent college hostels, by engaging a Lucknow-based firm in granting approval for payments contrary to financial rules, and in unauthorisedly increasing the expenditure to be incurred. acting in flagrant violation of the university's statutory provisions, abusing the powers and position conferred on him by the Act and Regulations of the University for his own benefit, and spreading maladministration, etc.

Prof JP Pandey, the incumbent VC of the Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology, Gorakhpur, has also filed a complaint against Singh, alleging that he obtained a false complaint via e-mail from one Manish Mishra alleging that the PhD degree obtained by Prof JP Pandey from the Academic Council of AKTU, Lucknow, in 2006 was suspicious and invalid, and that Singh was involved throughout in maligning Prof Pandey and the vice-chancellor. Given the gravity of the allegations, a preliminary enquiry (fact-finding enquiry) was formed by appointing RC Mishra as the enquiry judge and directing him to submit his report to the governor. In the 25-page preliminary enquiry report, various allegations against AKTU registrar Singh were found to be prima facie true.

Dear student,

The eligibility criteria for a scholarship may vary depending on several factors, such as the type of scholarship, category, and administrative policies. However, if a scholarship form is submitted for an ineligible student (such as a non-counselling general student not covered under a particular scheme), the application is likely to be rejected by the college administration.

Furthermore, if a student is found to have obtained a scholarship through false documentation or incorrect information, strict actions may be taken by the college administration. These actions can include cancellation of the scholarship, recovery of the amount disbursed, blacklisting, and debarment from future scholarship opportunities.

Therefore, it is advised that you carefully review the eligibility criteria of the scholarship you are applying for and ensure that all information provided to the authorities is accurate in order to avoid any consequences.

We hope this information was helpful to you. In case of further queries, you can write to hello@collegedekho.com or call our toll free number 18005729877, or simply fill out our Common Application Form on the website.

Dear Ritika Sharma , LPU is a UGC-recognized private university, and because of that, it does not require separate AICTE approval. Many people assume every technical institution must be AICTE-approved, but in India, universities established by a State or Central Act and recognized by UGC are exempt from needing AICTE approval for their technical programs. So, it is completely normal and valid that LPU is not listed under AICTE approval like affiliated colleges are. Regarding AKTU, LPU is not affiliated with AKTU, because AKTU only affiliates colleges within its own jurisdiction in Uttar Pradesh. LPU is a standalone private university in Punjab, so it functions independently and awards its own degrees. Therefore, it is not expected or required to be affiliated with AKTU. In simple terms, LPU’s status in 2023 is absolutely valid—its degrees are recognized across India and abroad. You said: 90 words ChatGPT said: LPU is a UGC-recognized private university, so it does not require AICTE approval, which is only mandatory for colleges affiliated to a university, not for universities themselves. This means LPU’s technical programs remain fully valid under UGC norms. Regarding AKTU, LPU is not affiliated with AKTU, because AKTU only affiliates colleges within Uttar Pradesh, while LPU is an independent university in Punjab with its own authority to grant degrees. I don’t have information about the said universities, but LPU’s approvals and recognitions are completely proper and valid.

AKTU Lucknow accepts CUET PG Score but there are very less chances of you getting admission in AKTU Lucknow with 131 marks. CUET PG cutoff for AKTU Lucknow is very high for general category. 131 marks is very less for getting admission for any category students. With 80.97 percentile in JEE Main, and if you belong to the OBC category, your CRL rank is likely around 2.2 to 2.4 lakh, and your OBC rank could be around 80,000 to 90,000. This rank may not be sufficient for admission to top NITs, IIITs, or GFTIs through JoSAA, especially in core branches like Computer Science Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering. However, you may have a slight chance in lower-ranked or newer GFTIs or home state quota colleges, depending on your state of eligibility.

Your class 12th percentage of 95.2%, which is excellent and can help you in state counselling processes or in securing admission to private universities, state engineering colleges, or through the CSAB Special Rounds. Consider also applying to institutes like JNU, DTU, through JAC if applicable, or private universities where admission is possible through your board marks and JEE percentile combined.
