For UG programmes, University of Calcutta admission in Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech), for which a student has to clear the cutoff score of WBJEE by a good margin. Admission to BA, B.Sc & B.Com programs is based on marks in the qualifying degree, while admission to B.Li.Sc, Integrated B.Li.Sc and BA-LLB programs are based on the admission test conducted by the university.
Calcutta University PG admission 2023 to courses like M.Tech, M.Ed, and M.Sc admissions can be either based on the merits or through university interviews. In such a case, the candidate has to give the university entrance exam followed by an interview at its College Street campus. Though for some specialisations, a valid GATE score is also required. Also, for M.Tech in Pharmaceuticals & Fine Chemical Technology, a good GPAT score will be considered. For candidates applying for M.Phil & PhD, the Research Entrance Test (RET) score is considered, followed by an interview.

Overall: This college is a good institution that offers a balanced college experience. I've grown academically and personally during my time here. The campus is lovely, the faculty is supporting, and there are plenty of chances to participate in extracurricular activities.
Placement: The college has a strong placement cell that offers excellent career counseling and placement opportunities. The cell organizes job fairs, workshops, and training programs to support students prepare for the job market. The college has a good placement record; many students get placed in top companies
Infrastructure: The college brags a well-maintained infrastructure with spacious classrooms, well-equipped labs, and a comprehensive library. The library has a vast collection of books, journals, and digital resources. The college also has good sports facilities; a modern auditorium.

Hostel: The hostels are clean and provide a comfy living environment. The rooms are nicely-furnished and have all the necessary amenities. The hostels also have common rooms, laundry facilities, and mess halls that serve healthy and tasty food
Overall: It is normal average college with cheaper fee that is the good thing and if you thinking of getting big placement then it's is not right college for you but education quality is good and helpful faculty
Placement: Placements are good specifically from Engineering department. The average package of engineering department's students is good as compare to the other departments.
Infrastructure: Labs and libraries are present with lab tools and well-stocked books. Wi-Fi facility is available in labs and libraries. roomes are big and clean, library is good, canteen and food of canteen is also good
Faculty: Faculty members are a very important asset to this institution. They provide very well updated knowledge and impart us not only academic lessons but also life lessons.
Hostel: a table, steel almirah, warm water in winter season , water cooler for drinking water in summers . Meals are provided 4 times, Breakfast, Lunch, evening snacks and dinner. There's a special meal every Sunday.
Overall: Overall experience was average. I have got some very good friends. Some teachers who motivate us even infrastructure was really nice. Hostel was also good.
Placement: Not every student of this institute gets placement. Only less numbers of student gets placed like 30%. BUT IF YOU WORK HARD SURELY YOU'LL GET THE PLACEMENT
Infrastructure: If I talk about infrastructure, the buildings are creatively made.Arena for sports was available.Libraries are available.WI services are available.Yeah , this institute infrastructure wise is good
Faculty: Faculties of this institute are really helping in nature and supportive at the same time. They are well qualified and motivates the students to do well in all the areas
Hostel: Hostel facility is good. Quality of food served by mess is average but we used to get varieties each day. Overall cleanliness and hygiene is maintained here
