Laboratories
Calicut University has dedicated laboratories across all departments. Some of the laboratories available for drama, fine arts and life science departments are Shri Prof. S Ramanujam studio, theatre lab, scenography lab, seven M.Sc labs, a cell culture facility, a computer lab, three instruments room and eight research laboratories.

Calicut University is recognised by UGC and is eligible to award degrees under section 22 of the UGC Act, 1956. Calicut University has been included in the list of universities by UGC under Section 2 (fl and 12(B) of the UGC Act, 1956. CUCAT is the entrance exam conducted by Calicut University for admission in PG, 5-year Integrated PG, B.P.Ed, LLM with double specialisation courses offered in the Calicut University teaching departments, university centres, self-financing centres and affiliated colleges. Calicut University offers admission to a total of 49 courses through CUCAT. The online registration fee for admission in PG/Integrated PG /BPEd programmes through CUCAT is Rs 550 for general and Rs 240 for SC/ST students. In case of LLM admission, the fee is Rs 750 for general and Rs 350 for SC/ST students. Candidates need to pay Rs 80 for each additional programme applied.
