Vadodara Design Academy - VDA

Being an initiative with a unique sense of manifesto, VDA has set a conductive teaching – learning environment in both physical and an intangible way. Nature is at the center and is reflected by the place for learning, and how it is linked with the outdoor environment. It is a constant reminder for every one to relate their learning process in which there is some order of balance between man-nature. The wisdom and knowledge gained by rational and analytical thinking gives the students at VDA a creative edge. Inspirations and influences from the living – working processes become stimulants for creative explorations.We envision a better future by continuously improving the standards of architectural education, which carve the designers of the future. Here research plays an important role for students to evolve a broader outlook and a holistic approach for design. We welcome and appreciate students with higher merits by allowing them for scholar ships and free ships. Join us on the five-year undergraduate program for the joy of learning architecture in Vadodara.Our architecture education is a response to the changing scenario of society, culture, environment and technology. The purpose of the course is to inculcate the most essential values from our past. Architecture of the future always needs to be aware of the desirables of our history. Studying the context and learning by doing, helps students understands the rudimentary principles. An architect without wisdom would be like a farmer minus the understanding nature. It is important for students to explore their interests without which the essence of creativity will be extinct.

The main campus is spread over a couple of acres of lush green landscape with a modest architectural language expressing a strong message of a center for learning. The place for transferring knowledge is envisaged in a serene and a peaceful environment. The campus is planned to meet the timely requirements of studios, lecture halls, AV rooms, computer labs, libraries, laboratories and a canteen.

We provide an appropriate environment to facilitate research with state of the art facilities and opportunities for designers of tomorrow.

Out door learning happens in a seamless manner, in a form such that it becomes an efficient and an informal way of digesting knowledge. Located in the vicinity of the cultural capital of the state-Vadodara, the new campus is expected to host outdoor activities and workshops from 2015-16. The riverside VDA campus will not only be an interdisciplinary but a trans disciplinary learning environment for the future, where art, design and technology will cater to each other.
