
CBSE Class 10 Science Weightage 2026 : The CBSE 10th Science board exam is conducted for 100 marks, out of which 80 marks are allocated to the theory paper and 20 marks are for the internal assessment. The science theory paper is divided into five sections. Section A consists of 20 objective-type questions, and each carries 1 mark, for a total of 20 marks. Section B consists of 6 short-answer type questions, each carrying 2 marks and the total marks allotted are 12. Section C consists of 7 short-answer questions, each carrying 3 marks, for a total of 21 marks. Section D consists of 3 long-answer questions, each worth 5 marks, for a total of 15 marks and Section E contains 3 Case Study-Based questions, each carrying 4 marks, totaling 12 marks. The 20 marks internal assessment is divided into the following components:- Periodic Assessment - 05 marks + 05 marks
- Subject Enrichment (Practical Work) - 05 marks
