The institute is one of the best women’s colleges in India. Affiliated with Delhi University (DU), the Bharati College was established in 1971, with the intent to spread higher education among women belonging to every sector of society.  The college offers both undergraduate and postgraduate level degrees in fields like arts, science, commerce and languages. The Bharati College language courses are also offered at diploma, advanced diploma and certificate levels. Only one master's course is offered here namely M.A in Hindi. Bharati College Application Process

Bharati College UG Application Process

For Bharati College UG courses candidates have to apply through the official website of CUET.

  • Go to the official website of CUET.
  • Register yourself to the admission portal.

Bharati College Selection Process

The selection process involves candidates first meeting the eligibility criteria mentioned by the college and taking the entrance examinations, as a valid entrance exam score will be considered during the Bharati College admission 2023. For UG courses CUET scores will be required and for PG courses CUET PG scores will be taken into consideration. The selection will also include an e-counselling round. 

Bharati College UG Selection Process

The selection process, along with the overall academic merit and entrance exam marks, will also conduct an e-counselling session, through which final selections will be done. DU will conduct this counselling session and students qualifying the CUET exam will only be eligible. The CUET exam has three separate sections:

  • Languages: It consists of two parts, the first includes 13 languages like Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, etc. and the second includes 20 languages like French, Spanish, German, Nepali, Persian, etc. For admission appearing in one language is mandatory.
  • Domain Specific Subjects: It contains 27 domain-specific subjects. For this meeting the eligibility of a certain subject, candidates wish to opt for is necessary.
  • General Test: This exam by DU is ultimately taken into consideration during admission. For this checking the eligibility criteria of the particular subject they are willing to opt for is mandatory.

Bharati College PG Selection Process

The selection for the PG courses offered at Bharati College depends on meeting the eligibility criteria and taking the CUET PG entrance exam. Also, previous academic qualifications will be considered.

Students graduating from any DU affiliated colleges are granted merit-based admission as per the University of Delhi guidelines. Those who graduated with a different subject and want to pursue a master's in a different subject will have to take the CUET PG exam.

  • The candidates must have at least 65% in their graduation from a recognised university or board to be eligible for admission.

Bharati College Eligibility Criteria for Diploma, Advance Diploma and Certificate Courses

The college offers diploma, advanced diploma and certificate courses in foreign languages. For admission to these courses, candidates must pass the 10+2/ graduation/ postgraduation qualifying examination from a recognised board or university with at least 45%.

For admission to the diploma, course candidates must pass the certificate course from the University of Delhi. For an advanced diploma, candidates must have passed with the diploma degree from the University of Delhi in the language concerned or equivalent.

Bharati College B.Com/B.Com (Hons) Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for B.Com/B.Com (Hons) admission at Bharati College, the candidates should aggregate above 60% in one language subject and three main subjects (Mathematics, Accountancy, Economics and Business Studies/Commerce). The candidates should have secured more than 50% in Business Mathematics/Mathematics at the qualifying level exam as well to be eligible for the Bharati College B.Com (Hons) programme. Bharati College has spacious hostels for girls students. The college takes hostel fees on an annual basis. The per annum hostel fees of Bharati College is Rs 81,000. Yes, Bharati College offers hostels for female students on the campus. Admission to the hostels is done on the basis of merit, as it is one of the main criteria for consideration. The hostel admission fee is Rs 500. You will also have to go through an interview procedure, for final selection. The hostels are safe and secure will all the necessary facilities. The hostel facilities offered at Bharati College include rooms with furniture, clean washrooms, 24x7 electricity and water supply, common rooms, medical facilities, visitors area, dining hall, etc. The annual hostel fees is Rs 54,600, and the mess charges is Rs 3,600 per month.

This is the minimum criteria, but usually 94% and above are usually considered for admission. Students from reserved categories like SC/ ST/ OBC, with 68% marks there is still a chance for admission. With the 10+2 percentage, you will also require a valid CUET UG score to secure admission. The CUET cut off rank for general category candidates required for admission at Bharati College is usually around 776 - 784.
