RVCE B.Tech Eligibilty Criteria

1). Should note that minimum academic qualifications are as follows:-

  • 10th Std. Min. 70% in Maths and Science subjects separately.
  • 11th Std. Min. 65% in Maths and Physics subjects separately

OR

  • 12th Std. Pre-Board exam 65% in Maths and Physics subjects separately.

2). Candidates should compulsorily appear in either CET / COMED-K / AIEEE / JEE.Any other National Entrance Test for Professional Programs.

RVCE M.Tech Eligibilty Criteria

A candidate who has Passed prescribed qualifying examination BE/B.Tech or equivalent and obtained an aggregate minimum of 50% marks taken together in all subjects in all the years is eligible for admission to M.Tech and 45% of marks in case of SC/ST candidates.

RVCE MCA Eligibilty Criteria

ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION:

a.) Admission to Master of Computer Application program shall be open to the candidates who have passed the Bachelor Degree examinations, with not less than 50% of the marks in the aggregate of all years of the degree examinations. However, in the case of candidates belonging to Schedule Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Category-I the aggregate percentage of marks of all the years of the qualifying examination shall be not less than 45%. Provided that for admission to Master of Computer Application Course the candidates shall have passed Bachelor Degree with not less than 50% of marks with Mathematics or Statistics or Computer Science or Computer Programming or Computer Applications or Business Mathematics or Business Statistics as one of the optional or electives. However, in the case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Category I, the marks shall be not less than 45%.

b.) Provided further that in respect of candidate who has studied and passed one of the subject specified in the first provison in the Pre-University Course with 50% of marks in that subject shall also be considered for admission. However in the case of candidates belonging to SC/ST and Category I, 45% of marks in that subject shall be eligible for Admission.

  1. Score in the Graduate Aptitude Test for Engineering (GATE) is the primary criterion, in addition common entrance test is conducted by state agency (KEA) ie PGCET for admissionto PG programs.

  2. GATE/ PGCET (KEA) entrance examination quota (Only for Karnataka students) is 80% And Management Quota is ZOO/0

  3. The minimum percentage in eligibility examination for admission in PG programs is 50% in case of GM and 45% in case of SC/ST

RVCE Bangalore B.Tech Eligibility Criteria 2019

Candidates applying for B.Tech course should have 45% marks in 12th with Maths, Physics and Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Computer Science as the main subjects.

Domicile rules:

1.Candidates who have studied for a period of 7 years in Karnataka are eligible to take admission in B.Tech course at RVCE through KCET (Karnataka Common Entrance Test) or COMEDK UGET (Under Graduate Entrance Test).

2. Candidates who have studied class 11th and 12th from Karnataka can also apply for admission through KCET subject to the condition that the parents of students must have studied for a minimum period of 7 years in Karnataka.

3.The candidates whose mother language is Kannada are eligible for B.Tech admission through KCET but they have to go through the Kannada language test conducted by KEA.

4. Students who are from outside Karnataka can apply for B.Tech admission at RVCE through COMEDK UGET score or JEE Main score.

RVCE Bangalore B.Tech Application Process 2019

The candidates aspiring to get admission in B.Tech course at RVCE Bangalore have to appear in KCET/JEE Main/COMEDK UGET entrance exam. At RVCE, 30% seats are filled based through COMEDK, 45% seats are filled through KCET and 25% seats are reserved for management, all merit-based quota.

The candidates who have qualified in KCET exam can participate in counselling process conducted by KEA (Karnataka Examinations Authority). The counselling process usually commences from the month of June for all the eligible candidates.

Below are the steps elaborated for Karnataka B.Tech counselling through the KCET entrance exam.

  • The counselling process starts with the verification of documents at the prescribed centers
  • A unique ID and password will be given along with the verification document slip to be used while filling and locking the choices online at the KEA website as the next step.
  • Further, the seat allotment will be done for the selected candidates. Those candidates must take the print out of the seat allotment letter available at the KEA website and report to the allotted college.
  • To confirm the admission, the candidates have to submit the seat allotment letter, the required document and first-year B.Tech fee at the allotted institute.

The candidates who have qualified in the COMEDK UGET exam have a different counselling process conducted by COMEDK (Consortium of Medical, Engineering, and Dental Colleges – Karnataka). The counselling has different steps which are carried out on a single day. The details are as elaborated below.

  • The candidates with a valid rank in COMEDK UGET exam have to report to the prescribed counseling center to attend the counselling process
  • At the center, the verification of documents takes place and the officer retains the photocopies of documents for future reference.
  • Next, the authentication of identity takes place through the biometric and photo verification process.
  • After the authentication of identity, the candidates have to make three choices of colleges or courses and wait for the announcement after which the candidates have to visit the seat selection counter and select the final seat.
  • As the next step, the candidates have to deposit the DD of the initial fee charged and collect the original seat allotment letter.
  • Lastly, those candidates have to visit the allotted college with the seat allotment letter and pay the remaining tuition fee (if any).

  • The registration process for KMAT 2019 is online and generally starts in May. The candidate needs to visit the KMAT 2019 entrance exam website. Fill up the KMAT 2019 registration form and pay the KMAT 2019 exam fee which is Rs. 826 inclusive of GST. The KMAT application fee should be paid online through debit/credit card, net banking or other modes of online fee payment. After registering as a new candidate, the applicant will receive KMAT application form number and date of birth as his/her password. With these details, the candidate can fill the entire form and upload all the details.
  • The candidates who meet the cut-off scores of KMAT 2019 will be called to attend the KMAT 2019 counselling. The seat allotment is done based on the rank in KMAT exam, GD  ( Group Discussion) and PI (Personal Interview). Please note that the original mark sheet and certificates will be required at the time of counselling.
