SMVDU Admission 2024 - Dates, Form, Online Process, Fees

SMVDU Admissions 2024 is ongoing for UG and PG courses.For BTech admission, applicants need to qualify for JEE Main. Candidates who will qualify JEE Main can further take part in BTech admissions at SMVDU. NTA has declared JEE Main session 2 result on April 24, 2024. Following the result, NTA will now conduct JoSAA counselling from June 2024 tentatively. Candidates who qualified for JEE Main 2024 can register for JoSAA from June 10, 2024.

To pursue MBA at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, candidates must have a valid CAT, MAT or CMAT score. Lastly, for SMVDU PhD admission, a NET, SLET or GATE score is a bonus. The viva or personal interview is an integral part of Phd admission process at SMVDU.

SMVDU Courses Eligibility

To apply for B.Tech admission at SMVDU, candidates must qualify for JEE Mains or JEE Advanced. The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) or Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) will declare merit lists as well as allocate institutes to the deserving candidates based on the JEE scores. Apart from the JEE scores, SMVDU B.Tech admission is also based on the CUET scores. After qualifying for the CUET, the final selection is made through the counselling sessions organised by the university. 

The B.Tech at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University through JEE involves the following steps: 

• Appear for JEE Mains or JEE Advanced and qualify for it. 
• Register at the JoSAA or CSAB at josaa.nic.in or csab.nic.in respectively using the JEE roll number and password. 
• After the JoSAA or CSAB registration, candidates must fill their choice of courses and colleges from the available list. 
• The courses and colleges matching with the candidate’s eligibility will be listed out in online mode. Candidates can choose SMVDU from the given list and the B.Tech course they wish to opt for. 
• The next step is to lock their selected choices. No changes will be accepted once the choices are locked by the candidates. 
• After shortlisting candidates JoSAA or CSAB will call them for document verification at their nearest centre. 
• After the final merit lists are declared, candidates will be notified by the respective universities (Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University in this case) to seek admission on the notified date.
• There will be another round of document verification where candidates must present the JoSAA or CSAB selection form, academic documents, migration certificate and four recent passport size photographs. 
• Finally, candidates can confirm their seats after SMVDU B.Tech fees payment.

All applications to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University UG and PG courses are received through the online mode. Applicants must first apply for CUET and achieve a good score to be eligible for SMVDU admissions. However, for courses like MBA, B.Tech, M.Tech, etc. candidates are also shortlisted based on different entrance tests including CUET. 

The UG and PG admission at SMVDU through CUET it given below:

• Register for CUET at smvducuet.samarth.edu.in within the given deadline. 
• Appear for the test and by using the CUET score register for the desired programme on the SMVDU admission portal. 
• The university will merit lists for counselling by analysing the CUET scores of the applicants. 
• The final merit lists will be declared after all the counselling sessions for every course, along with the further admission dates and guidelines.
• Candidates are to visit the admission venue at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University and complete all formalities. 

For MBA admission at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, applications are received only through online mode. Candidates must visit the SMVDU official website and register for admission by paying the prescribed fee. The SMVDU MBA admission is based on the CUET, CAT, MAT or CMAT score followed by a group discussion or viva conducted by the concerned faculties. The admission process for SMVDU MBA involves the following steps:

• Appear for the CAT, MAT, CMAT or CUET and achieve a decent score. 
• Apply for admission through the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University MBA admission portal. 
• After analysing the entrance test scores, the admission committee will shortlist candidates for viva or GD. 
• The final merit list will be declared by combining the entrance test and GD/ viva scores. 
• Selected candidates will be called for admission on the given date and time. 

Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University offers PhD programmes in subjects like Biotechnology, Computer Science & Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, English and so on. The admission process is divided into two rounds: entrance examination or NET, SLET, GATE, M.Phil, etc. qualification, and viva or personal interview. The candidates with an M.Phil degree or national/ state level qualification need not appear for the PhD entrance test. All candidates must appear for the viva or personal interview with the respective departments. The decision of the interview panel will be considered final for SMVDU PhD admissions.

The entrance examination for all central universities is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) in the form of Common University Entrance Test or CUET. CUET provides a single window for all students to apply for all central universities across the country including SMVDU. 

Applying for the CUET as a part of SMVDU registration involves the following steps:

• Visit the CUET official website cuet.samarth.ac.in.
• Click on New Registration and enter name, email address and mobile number to sign up.
• Now using the same credentials, login into your account.
• The application form will appear on the screen.
• Fill in all the details and upload photograph and signature. Students are also asked about the program applied for and choice of University (up to 3).
• Pay the CUET fees and save the confirmation form for future reference.
