Documents Required to Fill KCET 2022 Application Form – Image Upload Process, Specifications, Gazetted Officer/ Principal Signature

KCET Registration 2022 - Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has begun the KCET registration 2022 in online mode on its official website. KEA has also released the official brochure along with other related details. Eligible and interested candidates can fill the application form with all details such as academic, personal, category and stream preference. However, the candidates need certain documents to fill out the application form of KCET 2022. It is important to know that the applicants are not required to upload any documents with the application form.

Each applicant will only have to upload a scanned copy of passport size photograph, signature, left-hand thumb impression and parent signature. The details pertaining to the image uploading process and requirements to fill KCET application form can be checked here. KCET exam is scheduled to be held from June 16 to June 18, 2022.

KCET 2022 Application Form: How to Apply

Candidates can easily fill the KCET 2022 application form by following the steps given below.

  • Visit the official website – kea.kar.nic.in.
  • On the homepage, click on the “Karnataka CET application” link.
  • Register yourself by filling all the required details.
  • Fill out the application form and upload the documents.
  • Pay the registration fee and submit the KCET application form.
  • Download the registration form for future references.

Requirements to fill KCET 2022 application form

  • A valid E-Mail ID

  • Mobile Number

  • Password (Self-Created)

  • Proper Internet Connection

List of scanned images required to upload with KCET application form 2022

Candidates registering for KCET 2022 will have to be ready with the following scanned images 

  1. Recent Passport Size Photograph (Colour)

  2. Signature in JPG format only

  3. Parent Signature

  4. Left thumb impression

Here is the list of documents that are required to fill KCET 2022 application form. These documents should NOT be uploaded while registering for the entrance exam. The candidates should keep these documents as a reference to fill the application form

Instructions to upload scanned images on KCET registration portal 2022

The candidates can scan and edit the images through different Mobile Applications available on Google PlayStore. You can also get these images scanned through an internet centre. Here are the detailed instructions that a candidate must follow to upload the scanned images on the KCET application portal –

Scanned Image of Passport Size Photograph

  • The passport size photograph has to be recent with white background
  • Mobile photo is not allowed
  • The format to scan and upload the photograph is JPG/ JPEG format
  • The photograph has to be clear. No spectacles are allowed in the photograph
  • File Size: 5 to 40 KB
  • File Dimension: 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm
  • File Format: jpg/jpeg

Scanned Image of Candidate’s Signature

  • Sign with a black ballpoint pen on an A4 sheet (background of paper should be white in colour)
  • Scan the A4 sheet and go for the image editing option on your mobile or through an internet centre
  • Crop the image and make sure that only the signature part is cropped
  • File Size: 5 to 40 KB
  • File Dimension: 3.5 cm x 1.5 cm
  • File Format: jpg/jpeg

Scanned Image of Left-Hand Thumb Impression

  • Through a stamp pad or ink, put your thumb impression on an A4 sheet
  • Scan the A4 sheet and crop the image so that only the thumb impression part is visible (can be done through a mobile app or internet café)
  • File Size: 5 to 40 KB
  • File Dimension: 3.5 cm x 1.5 cm
  • File Format: jpg/jpeg

Scanned Image of Parent Signature

  • Ask your parent to sign with a black ballpoint pen on an A4 sheet (background of paper should be white in colour)
  • Scan the A4 sheet and go for the image editing option on your mobile or through an internet centre
  • Crop the image and make sure that only the signature part is cropped
  • The size of the signature can be less than 20 KB and the format of the image should be JPEG/ JPG format

Gazetted officer/ Principal signature on KCET application form 2022

For the year 2022, the Gazetted Office/ Principal Signature is not necessary for the KCET application form.

What after KCET application form 2022?

Once the entire registration process of KCET concludes, the candidates need to take the printout of the filled-in application form. It is mandatory to affix the photograph (same as uploaded on the application portal) on the application form. The candidates will also need to sign on the form and affix the left-hand thumb impression. Once this process is done, the candidates will need to visit his/ her school to get the principal’s signature on the application form. You can also get the signature of a Gazetted Officer if it is not possible to visit your school.

Dates to Submit KCET 2022 Special Category Certificates

Candidates falling under special categories have to submit the original special category certificate at Bangalore, Belgavi, Kalburgi, Mangalore, Mysore or Davangere. The dates to submit the special category certificate are as follows -
