Review about NIT Srinagar

Overall: The NIT Srinagar is a very old college and a well known which is known for its academics, students and achievements. Here the placement is not so good but okayish for tech branches The Highest package is 44 lpa and avg package is 9-10 lpa . Chemical and metturgical dept. Has little bit less placement as compared to other branches.

Placement: Here the placement is average means not so high but not less. Here the highest package is 44 lpa and average package is 9-10 lpa And every year 70-80 % students get placed in various companies of India .

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is so good like big hostels and roads are very well maintained. And still work is in progress for mega hostel and auditorium . But it requires little bit of cleanliness.

Faculty: The faculty is qualified from various renowned universities and they are also helpful and supportive in nature. But few of them are strict But mostly are good.

Hostel: Hostel are big and very well maintained but the student number is big means 5 students in a room Which is not good for study and privacy also but it will improve in upcoming years due to construction of mega hostels .

Overall: Overall, the college is good, There are 8 branches of btech and total 13 departments including mtech and msc, Cse and IT are here top branches. Placements are good. Weather here is very pleasing

Placement: From the 7th sem, students are eligible for placements. Finisar, IBM, ABB, Polarises, Indian Oil, NTPC, BYJUS, ETC. In the 2023 BATCH, the highest is 36 LPA for a CSE graduate and the average is 12 LPA (my assumption after seeing the list). At least 75% get placements. My plan after my degree is to get a placement

Infrastructure: There are many annual and reach festivals that are celebrated throughout the year by different clubs of the college. The annual festival is celebrated in the month of December before vacations. In the Library, you get almost all books related to all fields of science and technology. classrooms are designed to attract students with all the basic needs that a classroom demands. There are fields or grounds for almost all sports activities. Sports and co-curricular activities are also very good. There are different clubs and groups that are active in the college related to social and technological fields.

Faculty: All the faculty are having minimum Phd degree. The faculty will try their best so that the student will get some benefit from the studies, they are very supportive through our degree

Hostel: Hostel Rooms are spacious and are having chairs and study tables, electric sockets, closet. Meal quality is good. There is the option of chicken 3 times a Week. You will get hostel easily during physical reporting( btech stds

Overall: In the previous year, almost 70% of students were placed. The highest salary package offered is 22 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 5 LPA and the average salary package offered is 6 LPA and 7 LPA.The infrastructure of classrooms and the hostel is good. Our college is constructing a hostel which can accommodate 1,000 students. Our canteen is small due to which price of items is more than the normal price. The lab is good and comfortable. The curriculum is good. We know the syllabus. Not everyone goes to class, so most students study by themselves with the help of YouTube. Some teachers are good, but many are not. Some subjects in the curriculum will not be useful in the future. The difficulty level of semester exams is above average.

Placement: Placements are increased in our college over the recent years as the institute reported an increase of 85% placements. Around 90% of placements are provided in our branch with an average salary package of 15 LPA to 20 LPA and the highest salary package is 40 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Wipro, Tesla, Suzuki, Tata, etc.

Infrastructure: NIT Srinagar is one of the oldest engineering colleges in India. Which is established in the 1960s. The infrastructure of our college is good. The mechanical department has many labs like tribology lab, production lab, ic engines lab, Mechatronics lab, cad lab, industrial Engineering lab, fluid mechanics lab and turbine erosion testing lab. We have our own campus open air Wi-Fi, which can be accessed anywhere in the campus. Library is also good where we get all the required books for our courses. For boys there are seven hostels with a separate mess in each hostel. For girls there are two hostels. Food in the mess is average but in canteen there is above average quality food. We have hospital in campus in which we get all our medical needs. Our campus is around 70 acres and most of the students play cricket, volleyball, basketball, Badminton etc. There is also a good running track.

Faculty: Teachers in our college are helpful and well-qualified with Ph.D from IITs. They assist and solve the queries of the students. Some teachers are not up to the mark and make the subjects boring. The course curriculum is good and should be updated. Exams are easy and students can score well easily. The pass percentage is 40%.

Hostel: Hostel life is not that good. A room has at least 6 students. Rooms are not well ventilated. Internet and LAN are available. Canteens are not that good and at the same time, expensive. Sports ground has just been made so that's also good, so overall, it is average.

Overall: Overall this college is good. Teachers are very helpful and knowledgeable. Playground is also here, you can play any game in the playground. Hostel facilities are good. Mess is also good.

Placement: Placements are going at a good rate, and most of the companies that come for recruitment are IT-based companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, L&T, Mu Sigma, Polaris, etc. Core companies such as Magneti Marelli (ECE), Maruti (ME) visited the campus recently. For IT, CS, EEE departments, the average salary package is 4.8 LPA.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure has been one of the best in this college. The classrooms are well furnished and great. The library is great with all the books and magazines available. Wi-Fi speed is good. Hostels are old, and the rooms are not so good. Hostel facilities are not good. There are special grounds and courts for every sport.

Faculty: The faculty members are good in my branch. They are very helpful, especially our faculty for programming. The curriculum is relevant, but if you want to crack your internship in the second year, you have to study on your own using YouTube and sources. There is no spoon-feeding in the college, we have to learn on our own.

Hostel: Food quality is average. Non-veg is also available. If you are a vegetarian then you will get juice, bread, paneer, rajma, mushroom, dal roti and rice only. Canteens are also available. In medical, they only have limited tablets.

Overall: NIT Srinagar is a good college, and the college is situated in a beautiful place. All the teachers in our college are helpful and careful. They are knowledgeable and have good qualities of a professor. There is good quality of hotels and canteen but mess food is like normal food. Medical and sports facilities are also good for students.

Placement: In my college, there is good placements in CSE, ECE and IT, while for civil, mechanical and electrical, the placements are less. If you are a good student in studies and qualify in a GATE exam, then there are options in PSU companies.

Infrastructure: There is a good infrastructure as well as a library. Wi-Fi is available throughout the campus with very good internet speed. Playground is also very good.

Faculty: It all depends on you that if you are good enough at grabbing things, then faculty members can be excellent for you as they do not teach the subject in-depth. So you have to study on your own. Faculty members are good and helpful.

Hostel: There are 8 hostels for boys and 2 hostels for girls, and many facilities are available on the campus. The food served in the mess is average. Non veg is also given.
