SRM University Chennai Admissions 2024

SRM University admission last date for phase 1 registration for SRMJEEE 2024 is April 13, while the last date for phase 2 registration is June 15, 2024. SRM University admission form must be completed and submitted before the deadline. The SRM University admission portal for SRMJEE 2024 is srmist.edu.in/admission-india, while the SRM student portal can be accessed at sp.srmist.edu.in/srmiststudentportal.SRM University admission fee ranges from Rs 30,000 to Rs 5,00,000 depending on the course that has been opted by the candidate.

To get admission at SRM, SRMJEE and JEE Main scores are accepted for B.Tech admissions. SRM University admissions also consider 12th marks but only state board toppers for direct admissions. Apart from SRMJEE, SRM University admission to B.Tech courses is also granted through JEE Main. SRM University admission process involves students to fill up the application form, take the respective entrance exam as per the desired course, qualify the exam and pay the admission fee.

SRM University Admission Process 2024

As per the SRM University Chennai admission criteria for the management courses, SRMIST admissions to majority of the programmes are done on the basis of entrance exams. The entrance exam is conducted by SRM University itself or through authorised /statutory boards or agencies. For few other courses, SRM University Chennai admissions are done on the basis of the marks scored in the pervious qualifying examinations. In addition to the above, the candidates must meet the eligibility criteria set for the law courses to confirm their seats at SRM University Chennai.

SRM University Chennai MBA Admission Process

Step 1: Preliminary Screening of Online Application

As a part of the SRMIST admission process, candidates need to go through the preliminary screening of online application for proof of basic educational qualification and work experience.

Proof of Education: Graduate with regular/part-time with 50% attainment or 3 out of 5 CGPA or 6 out of 10 CGPA or Postgraduate with 50% marks from any government/ government recognised private institution in any stream such as engineering, sciences and humanities either in India or abroad.

Work Experience: Applicants with work experience of more than 2 years will be given preference with additional 5% marks in the composite scores. Work experience is not mandatory.

Step 2: Minimum Cut Off in Common Entrance Tests

SRM University Law Admission 2024

As per the SRM University Chennai admission criteria for the law courses, SRMIST admissions to majority of the programmes are done on the basis of entrance exams. The entrance exam is conducted by SRM University itself or through authorised /statutory boards or agencies. For few other law courses, SRM University Chennai admissions are done on the basis of the marks scored in the pervious qualifying examinations. In addition to the above, the candidates must meet the eligibility criteria set for the law courses to confirm their seats at SRM University Chennai. 

SRM University Chennai Admission Process

Step 1: Submission of Application

Candidates must duly fill up the application form available in the SRMIST official website and pay the SRM UNiversity Chennai application fees.

Step 2: Shortlisting of Candidates

In the next step candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of the following-

Non-entrance-based courses: Preliminary screening of online applications including eligibility criteria, academic score, and other merits.

Entrance-based courses: Preliminary screening of online applications including eligibility criteria, academic score, SRMJEEL (Phase 1 and Phase 2) and other merits.

Step 3: Preliminary Admission Process

  • The shortlisted candidates in step 2 need to attend the e-counselling (only for SRM entrance candidates).
  • Candidates then need to submit the following documents: 10th mark statement, 12th mark statement, degree mark statements, degree certificate, TC, adhaar card.
  • After the verification is done, those applications which fulfill the criteria will be approved.
  • Candidates, whose application is approved will then need to pay the tuition fees.
  • After the payment of fees, SRMIST admission office will issue a Provisional Allotment Letter (PAL) to the candidates

Step 4: Admission Confirmation

  • This is the last stage of the SRM University Chennai admission process, wherein the enrollment process will be completed.
  • Admission confirmation letter will be issued to the eligible candidates, wherein their ID card and registration number will be generated.

SRM University Chennai Application Process

  • As per the SRM University Chennai first step in the admission process, candidates need to fill up the SRM University Chennai application form.
  • Candidates need to visit the SRMIST official website, download the SRM University Chennai application form, fill in the required details and attached the requisite documents in the correct format as mentioned in the application form. Along with the self-attested scanned documents candidates must also submit - Photograph Image: Size should be between 10 kb and 200 kb with a dimension of 3.5 cm X 4.5 cm. Signature Image: Size should be between 10 kb and 200 kb with a dimension of 3.5 cm X 1.5 cm.
  • Candidates will be then directed to the SRM University Chennai payment page, where they need to pay the SRM University Chennai application fees.
  • After the payment is done, the candidate needs to submit the SRM University Chennai application form.
  • After the successful submission of the SRM University Chennai application form, an application number will be generated. Candidates must save that number for future reference and communications during the admission process.
