AIT Aquaculture Student Gains Expertise in Shrimp Health Management - Geni Bhargava, a Master’s student in the Aquaculture and Aquatic Resources Management program at the Asian Institute of Technology, has completed a 12-credit internship at SyAqua Siam Co., Ltd. in Thailand, focusing on shrimp disease challenges and health management. This internship is part of his third-semester study and emphasizes AIT's commitment to combining academic knowledge with practical industry experience. During his training, Geni developed skills in disease testing, molecular diagnostics, and data analysis, contributing to the development of healthier, more resilient shrimp stocks, which supports sustainable aquaculture practices.
Joint Partnership Signed Between AIT, CONNEX, and Intermarc Global - On October 6, 2025, a Tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Connex Information Technologies (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (CONNEX), and Intermarc Global Pty Ltd (Australia) (IMG). This agreement aims to establish strategic cooperation in academics, research, professional development training, consultancy services, and other mutually beneficial activities. The collaboration will focus on student engagement through internships, research on patented technologies, and professional development programs in cybersecurity. Additionally, joint R&D efforts will enhance cybersecurity resilience and develop surveillance solutions for institutions in Thailand. The partnership will also explore green building solutions and net-zero carbon frameworks, aiming to bridge the gap between academia and industry for impactful outcomes.
Call for Abstracts – NERPS Conference 2026 - The Network for Education and Research on Peace and Sustainability (NERPS) at Hiroshima University and United Nations University (UNU) will jointly host the 5th NERPS conference on March 4–7, 2026, at the UNU Headquarters in Tokyo. This conference will focus on the role of technological innovations in achieving peace and sustainability. It offers a platform for students, researchers, and practitioners to exchange ideas, present their work, and forge partnerships for transdisciplinary research and collaborative action toward peaceful and sustainable futures.
