What Happens in BITSDAT Portfolio Interview: The BITSDAT Exam 2025, or the BITS Design Aptitude Test will be conducted by BITS Pilani from March 31 to April 5, 2025. Students who pass the BITSDAT Exam will get shortlisted for the next set of interview rounds. The BITSDAT Portfolio Interview will be conducted for a week, from April 21 to April 28, 2025. NID DAT Application Form Editing 2026: The National Institute of Design will close NID DAT Application Form Editing Window 2026 today, December 4, by 11:59 PM. Candidates who wish to make changes to their application form are required to visit the official website at admissions.nid.edu and access the application form correction window link, available under the ‘Important Updates’ section. To edit the application form, candidates must log in using their email address, date of birth, and password, make the necessary changes, and save them so that the changes are recorded.

If you compare IIT BDes with NID courses, your decision relies on what type of designer you want to be. In NID, you are exposed to a hands-on approach where creativity and experimentation are utilised for learning. The graduates are hired from companies like TCS, Infosys, and Titan, with average packages going up to around INR 18 lakh for the top students. Conversely, IITs are technology blended with design thinking, readying you for product-based and industrial design careers. Microsoft and Samsung hire from IITs extensively and pay the median salary of INR 5-7 lakh. Go for NID if you enjoy artistic freedom and actual design exposure, or IIT if you enjoy a solid technical grounding and overseas opportunities.
