The NIT Warangal campus is spread over 256 acres of land with lush greenery. NITW has about 100 laboratories that are organised in a unique pattern of functioning. It has a central library spread over 4000 square metres with state of the art facility. The library of NIT Warangal is equipped with 1,79,797 books, technical pamphlets, back volumes, standards, video cassettes, CD-ROMs, e-books etc. Apart from this, it is also subscribed to 110 journals (20 Foreign and 90 Indian) at the cost of Rs 5.91 lakhs. The total cost of the books it has is Rs 8.81 crores. It also receives 2000 online Journals via NITs Consortium, INDEST-AICTE and NITW. NIT Warangal has an auditorium, Mega Computer Centre, Dispensary with state of the art of facilities, student activity centre, seminar halls with required infrastructure, indoor games complex, excellent technical and supporting staff, brilliant student community, shopping complex and many other facilities. The institute has a branch of the State Bank of India and two ATMs on the college premises. It also has a post office that opens from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm on weekdays and from 9.00 am to 2.00 pm on Saturdays.
NIT Warangal has twenty hostel blocks for men and two for women. It has two government non-vegetarian messes in the boys’ hostels, three Institute food courts known as “IFC A, IFC B, and IFC C,” for the men’s hostels and “Priyadharshini Mess” for girls’ hostel. NIT Warangal campus also has a shopping complex that includes a laundry shop, salon and xerox shop. Eateries such as Coffee day Express, Nescafe, Bru, and Amul also remain open for over ten hours a day. The institute also provides an excellent sports facility to its students and encourages them to participate in sports activities as much as possible for their overall development.
Auditorium, Seminar hall
The institute’s research and development committee meet periodically to discuss interdisciplinary research projects. The faculty members are encouraged to take please research projects based on their areas of specialization and prior experiences. The institute encourages interdisciplinary research. The students are also free to share their knowledge.
