Calcutta School of Tropical Medicine has a tradition of maintaining collection of books and publications / journals authored by eminent research scholars and medical practitioners. The Library started functioning in 1921 with the collection of books brought from Asiatic Society. Presently, there are over 65,000 books, Journals, Records and Gazetteers stocked in the Library. Smt. Anasua Sen is the Librarian.The campus is located in the Central place of Kolkata at 108 Chittaranjan Avenue, Kolkata – 700 073 in gothic structured building with huge corridor. Another building is coming up exclusively for study of Regenerative Medicine & Translational Science. Infrastructure: If I talk about infrastructure, the buildings are creatively made.Arena for sports was available.Libraries are available.WI services are available.Yeah , this institute infrastructure wise is good

Hostel: Hostel facility is good. Quality of food served by mess is average but we used to get varieties each day. Overall cleanliness and hygiene is maintained here

I dont have any clue of the Calcutta colleges, but I am giving you the details of the B Pharm program of LPU. B Pharm. is an undergraduate four years course (approved by PCI) which is a prerequisite for registration to practice as a pharmacist. It imparts skills to work in industry, clinical setups, drug control organizations, education and research sectors in pharmaceuticals Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Maths) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST Apart from imparting theoretical knowledge, the university also aims at cementing the practical side of the course. There are state-of-the-art laboratories. The outcomes of the program are Understand the nature and concepts of Pharmacognosy, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmaceutics, and Pharmacology Perform procedures as per laboratory standards in the areas of Pharmacognosy, Pharmaceutical chemistry, Pharmaceutics and Pharmacology Effectively utilize information, and technology to optimize learning and patient care The highest salary availed by LPU students was 6 LPA while the average salary was 3.8 LPA. Two students of the university got placed in Freyer Solutions while two others got shortlisted in GlaxoSmithKline.
