    NITs GATE Cutoff 2023
    March 17, 2023 0:15 PM

NIT GATE Cutoff 2023 (Soon) - Check Previous Years' Cutoff, MTech Admission Process & Fee Structure

NIT GATE Cutoff 2023 - National Institutes of Technology (NIT) is the best suitable option for students to take up M.Tech courses apart from IITs (Indian Institutes of Technology). Since NITs are situated in most parts of the country, a majority of the students prefer to take up an M.Tech course in the nearest NIT located in their region or state. However, M.Tech admissions at NITs are done purely on the basis of scores in the GATE Exam, and NITs release the closing ranks of GATE after the declaration of the seat allotment results. Similar to IITs, the GATE score is compulsory for candidates to enroll in M.Tech admission at NITs. The result of GATE 2023 exam was declared on March 16, 2023.

The M.Tech admission process of IITs and NITs is different. Presently, NITs participate in the centralized counselling process to fill M.Tech seats at their institutes. The new system replaced the older system where earlier students had to apply individually for each institute, participate in an interview, etc. Candidates can find more details related to NIT GATE cutoff, M.Tech admission process, M.Tech course fee at NITs, eligibility criteria, and selection criteria here.

    About GATE Cutoff for NITs

The NIT GATE cutoff 2023 will be different from others. Each NIT will determine its GATE cutoff based on a bunch of factors. However, the GATE cutoff for all NITs will be uploaded on the official website of CCMT (Centralised Counselling for MTech), and students must check the same from the CCMT website. Some of the factors based on which NITs prepare the GATE cutoff are –

    • The previous year's GATE cutoff of NIT is one of the major criteria for determining the M.Tech GATE cutoff for the upcoming admission season
    • The difficulty level (easy/ moderate/ difficult) is another component that plays a crucial role in deciding the NIT GATE cutoff 2023 for each specialization of the M.Tech course
    • The reputation of institutes, the total number of M.Tech seats available in each specialization, the total number of aspirants competing for M.Tech admission at each NIT, and the total number of candidates who cleared GATE are the other factors that help NITs in preparing GATE cutoff for M.Tech courses

    NIT BTech Fee Structure 2023
    March 10, 2023 0:48 PM

NIT BTech Fee Structure 2023 - Check Tuition & Hostel Fee Details

NIT fee structure for BTech 2023: National Institutes of Technology (NITs) are popular premier engineering institutes in India after IITs (Indian Institutes of Technology). Securing a seat in NITs is a dream of JEE Main aspirants, as these institutes offer quality engineering education with good placement assistance. In order to secure admission to NITs, a student must clear the JEE Main 2023 exam. At the same time, students must clear the cutoff marks/ JEE Main opening & closing ranks of NITs to secure admission. NITs offer B Tech courses in different specializations. Apart from regular seats in B.Tech courses, some NITs also offer supernumerary seats for female candidates.

Students who have been accepted into the National Institutes of Technology (NITs) must be looking forward to learning about their NIT fees for 4 years BTech. The NIT BTech fee structure is given here for students to verify the amount of fee they must pay at their different colleges. Students must pay their fees using credit/debit cards, net banking, or SBI collect online. Some colleges also accept fee payments via DD or direct deposit to the institute's bank account. Tuition fees, one-time admission fees, hostel fees, mess fees, and other expenses are all included in the NIT fee for BTech. Students must pay their fees at the beginning of each semester, as specified in the NIT pricing structure. The JEE Main test scores are used to determine admission to NITs. Students from low-income backgrounds and reserved category applicants are eligible for fee reductions based on the NIT fees for BTech.

     NIT Fee Structure Components

Candidates start planning for NIT 2023 admissions once the JEE Main 2023 results are released, based on their score and opening/closing ranks. One of the important factors to look at while taking admission is the NIT fee structure for BTech and the engineering seat matrix to have a better idea of what they're getting into. The NIT fee structure for BTech is made up of several components that might range from one school to the next. The general components of the NIT fee structure are shown below for candidates' reference.

    • Library
    • Fee for Development
    • Students Group
    • Other Charges
    • Recognition & Matriculation
    • Affiliation with Sports
    • Welfare of Students
    • Fee for Amenities
    • Fee for Magazines
    • Fees for membership
    • Fees for Registration
    • Annual Medi-claim Premium

How is the fee structure of NITs determined?

NIT fees for 4 years BTech are determined by the NIT Council in consultation with the MHRD. When determining the NIT fee structure for BTech, numerous aspects are taken into account. While computing the NIT fee structure following components are considered.

    • NIT fees for 4 years BTech are set by the NIT Council and the Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD) according to guidelines from the higher education department.
    • The fee structure is decided considering the categories for which costs are to be determined. Candidates in the reserved category pay lower fees than those in the general category.
    • A portion of the costs, such as the hostel price or the mess fee, differs per NIT and is determined by the particular institute.

GATE 2023 Cutoff for GFTI - Check Maximum & Minimum GATE Score Required for Admission

GATE 2023 Cutoff for GFTI: The GATE 2023 cutoff for GFTI is the minimum marks that candidates must score in the GATE exam to secure admission into the MTech programmes at the GFTIs.  A total of eight Government Funded Technical Institutes engage in CCMT counselling to select qualified students for M.Tech admission through the GATE exam. GFTIs provide a variety of M.Tech specializations, with a distinct cutoff for each. Following each round of seat allocation, CCMT publishes the opening and closing ranks for each GFTI and MTech specialization. The GATE cutoff 2023 depends on various factors like candidate’s category, number of seats available, number of candidates participating, previous year's cutoff, etc. Every year, the GATE cutoff for admission to GFTI varies.

In order to give the aspirations a basic idea of the GATE cutoff for GFTIs, we have compiled previous years’ cutoff to determine the average minimum and maximum marks required for admissions.
