Daita Madhusudana Sastry Sri Venkateswara Hindu College of Engineering (DMSSVHCE), Machilipatnam proffers courses such as B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering, B.Tech in Electrical & Electronics Engineering etc.. DMSSVHCE is one of the oldest self-financed institutions in the state of Andhra Pradesh to impart high quality of Technical Education in the field Engineering proffering varied range of streams from Bachelor of Technology in Computer science and others to Master of Technology in Power systems and many more. The college is affiliated to JNTUK and is located in the historic town of Machilipatnam which is also the headquarters of Krishna District. The college was established and founded during the year 1980-81 by The Hindu High & Branch Schools Society (Estd. In 1856) under the guidance of late Sri Daita Madhusudana Sastry, a prominent advocate and educationist. The college is privately managed and owes its existence to the untiring efforts of the members of the Society. The college offers professional courses both at the graduate and postgraduate levels in engineering and computer applications streams. Graduate courses include Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.,) in five branches, namely, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. The College also offers an M.Tech program in Mechanical Engineering with Specialization in Machine Design and Civil Engineering with Specialization in Structural Engineering. All the courses are approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) with a total annual intake of 420 for B.Tech. courses. The institution is equipped with excellent infrastructure and is run by highly qualified and experienced faculty.
The college provides placement assistance to all its students. The dedicated placement cell regularly conducts grooming sessions of the students in areas like soft skills, interview facing skills, behavioral skills hereby making them industry-fit. In the recent years, the college has witnessed some well-known recruitment companies walking in and being invited for campus placements. Placement activities for the academic Year 2012-13 are in progress.
