The latest in catering to this need in Durgapur is Durgapur Institute of polytechnic (DIP) that started its journey in 2014.The college belongs to Rahul Foundation, a leading group in knowledge management in India and has Mr. R. N. Mazumder, an industrialist par excellence as its leader, owner and guide. In a very short period DIP has established itself as one of the best Diploma Colleges in West Bengal and efforts are on to make it one of the best in the country. It is affiliated to the W.B.S.C.T.E and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

September 03, 2025The JEXPO 2025 first phase seat allotment for Polytechnic admissions has been released at scvtwb.in.The last date for admission confirmation is September 5, 2025, while classes for those admitted are scheduled to commence on September 8, 2025.
August 29, 2025The JEXPO 2025 counselling timetable for Polytechnic admissions has been updated. Candidates can now complete the choice filling process until September 1. The first allotment list will be released on September 2, and the first round of admissions will take place from September 2 to 5.
August 27, 2025The JEXPO 2025 counselling process for Polytechnic admissions began with the publication of the merit list. The choice filling has started at scvtwb.in and will remain open until August 29. The first phase of seat allotment will be released on August 30, followed by the admission process from September 1 to 4.
