August 20, 2025Convocation Registration Now Open - The registration link for the 7th Convocation of Harcourt Butler Technical University, Kanpur, is now available. The convocation will be held on September 20, 2025, at Shatabdi Bhawan, West Campus, HBTU Kanpur. Students who have been declared qualified for the award of Under Graduate, Post Graduate, or Ph.D. programmes until August 20, 2025, are eligible to receive their degree certificates during the ceremony. The last date for submission of the online application form is September 15, 2025. Students must ensure to submit the original No Dues Certificate before August 20, 2025, and pay a fee of Rs 500/- through the designated payment methods. July 23, 2025Open Elective Allotment for M.Tech. 3rd Semester - Details regarding the allotment process for open electives for students in the M.Tech. 3rd semester have been published. Faculty: The faculty here is outstanding with a deep knowledge of the subjects.The teachers are educated from highly prominent institutions of India and abroad,they try to connect the theoretical aspects with the practical world making us a valuable engineer for our country's betterment.
ReportOverall: As we all know that this college HBTU, Kanpur has its own history founded by english governor general Harcourt Butler. It has a legeacy of over 102 years which is continuing till date. The first college to provide a Btech degree in UP is also the HBTU KANPUR.
Faculty: The qualifications for being a faculty member in HBTU KANPUR are quite high and so the education provided. All the faculty members are well qualified and give their best with the students who are willing to learn.

Faculty: I am little bit dissatisfied with faculty. The teachers are highly qualified but what they teach students don't understand. They teach in totally English.

ReportOverall: I gave jee mains and got selected in HBTU-Kanpur i spended my 4 years in this college in electrical engineering. Many fests and cultural events took place and all were awesome i will miss my college.
Faculty: Faculties are very supportive and will always help you but in electrical engineering marks are not given very good it is okay. Behaviour of faculties is good and you can easily ask your doubts as well..
