IIM Trichy selection criteria for the offered courses is the results of national entrance exams. GMAT or CAT scores are used to determine admission to MBA programmes. The admission process of IIM Tiruchirappalli takes into consideration the candidate’s performance in CAT, performance in Personal Interview (PI) and Written Analysis Test (WAT), academic record, and relevant work experience. The following parameters and the corresponding weights will be used to arrive at the composite scores of the candidates to prepare the final merit list for admissions:

• Based on the normalized PI scores, the lowest 20% of the candidates in each category will not be considered for admission to the PGPM 2025-27 batch.

In a country like India, we cannot afford that. What are your thoughts about the same?" as part of the WAT process. She was given a time limit of 20 minutes and then submitted it. She then moved forward towards the PI process. 3 interviewers conducted the PI round. She was asked questions regarding her basic personal information, work experience and recent national as well as international events contemporary to that time. Some main pointers that we can take from her experience are -

• Be ready for everything and anything. the aspirant did not expected that there would be a written assignment on such an important topic for the interview process.
• Candidates must never lose confidence even if they are being counter-questioned by the interviewers.
• The candidates must listen to the questions, understand them and answer them as per their best understanding.
• The candidates must keep themselves updated with the recent happenings worldwide.

The IIM Trichy executive MBA course is the only course offered by the institute for which there is no requirement to appear or qualify in the CAT exam. IIM Trichy and other IIMs provide Executive MBA programmes without a CAT prerequisite if you have a job experience of almost 2 years (preferably). Nevertheless, these programmes frequently include GMAT or GRE requirements in addition to having strict work experience requirements. In order to be considered for admission as an MBA executive at IIM Trichy, a candidate must meet the requirements of the institute's written exam and personal interview, as well as have a valid GMAT or GRE score. Is CAT mandatory to take admission in IIM Trichy?

How Can I Join IIM Trichy after 12th?

There is no course offered by IIM Trichy for the candidates who have just passed class 12 or an equivalent examination from a recognised board. The institute offers courses at PG and doctoral levels for which the candidates must at least have a graduate degree and postgraduate degree respectively from a recognised university.

How to get admission in IIM Trichy for BBA?

A BBA programme is not available at IIM Trichy. Nonetheless, the Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGPM) is available at IIM Trichy. A valid CAT score is required for the PGPM admissions procedure. The first round of Personal Interviews (PI) shortlists candidates based on the CAT percentile.
