Students willing for IIM Jammu admission without CAT have two options i.e. IPM and EMBA. Other than CAT scores, IIM Jammu admission for IPM is offered based on JIPMAT scores and admission to the EMBA programme is offered based on GMAT/GRE/IIMJAT scores.
No, CAT is not mandatory for IIM Jammu admission. CAT scores are only mandatory for the MBA programme offered by the Indian Institute of Management Jammu. Students can join IIM Jammu after 12th through the IPM programme. After 3 years of the programme, students are awarded a BBA degree. Further, after completing the course, students are awarded an MBA degree. IIM Jammu admission is not offered for the BBA programme. Instead, the institute offers BBA+MBA integrated programme i.e. IPM programme. The Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) is a programme introduced by IIM Jammu for working professionals willing to pursue a career in management. Candidates must have a bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks for General, 47% for NC-OBC, and 45% for SC/ST/DAP category candidates. The degree should be from a recognised University/ educational institution or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, or alternatively completion of professional programmes such as CA/CS/ICWA. Prior to the deadline for applications, candidates should have at least three years of work experience to be considered eligible. Experience acquired throughout the study term will not be taken into account. The selection will be based on CAT/GMAT/GRE score or IIM Jammu Admission Test (IIMJAT), along with academic Profile and Personal Interview (PI).
For young aspirants interested in a management profession, the Indian Institute of Management Jammu provides a five-year Integrated Programme in Management (IPM). To get admission in this programme, candidates must have passed class 10+2 or an equivalent exam from a recognised board with at least 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwD categories). IGCSE (International General Certificate for Secondary Education) and IB (International Baccalaureate)-affiliated international schools with 12 standard applicants are also eligible for admission. The Reservation Policy set by the Government of India is rigorously adhered to while conducting the IIM Jammu admission process. All IIMs are obligated to follow the Central Educational Institutions (Reservation in Admission) Act of 2006's regulations all of which were established in compliance with the law. The reservation categories at IIM Jammu include the following: Schedule Caste (SC) with 15% reservation, Schedule Tribe (ST) with 7.5%, Other Backward Classes - Non Creamy (OBC NC) with 27% reservation, Economically Weaker Section (EWS) with 10% reservation and finally Differently Abled Person (DAP) with 5% reservation.
