JIS University Kolkata - Admission Eligibility

The eligibility criteria vary for the different courses and according to their requirements. JISU has a set of eligibility criteria for all the courses and they are mentioned below:

  • The candidates must have completed 10+2 in any discipline from a recognized board with a minimum of 45% marks.
  • For reserve category students, a minimum of 40% marks is required.
  • Candidates must have a valid UGAT/ JISUEE score.
B.Sc {Hons.}
  • Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology with English with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent CGPA.
BCA
  • The candidates must have completed 10+2 or equivalent with English, Mathematics/ Statistics/ Business Mathematics/ Computer Application as the subject from a recognized board with a minimum of 45% marks.
  • For reserve category students, a minimum of 40% marks is required.
B.Sc (Physiotherapy)
  • The candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board in Science stream with a minimum of 50% or equivalent CGPA.
B.Tech
  • The candidates must have completed 10+2 or equivalent with Physics and Maths as the compulsory subject along with one of the subjects as Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational from a recognized board with a minimum of 60% marks.
  • For reserve category students, a minimum of 40% marks is required.
  • Candidate must have a vaid WBJEE/ JISUEE score.
B.Tech {Lateral}
  • The candidates must have completed a Diploma from an AICTE-recognized institute or a B.Sc degree from a recognized board with a minimum of 45% marks.
  • For reserve category students, a minimum of 40% marks is required.
  • The candidates must have a valid JELET/ JISUEE score.
B.Ed
  • The candidates must have completed a bachelor's degree or master's degree in social science/ science/ humanities with a minimum of 50% marks OR engineering and technology with a minimum of 55% marks OR students with other equivalent qualifications are eligible.
  • For reserve category students, a minimum of 50% marks is required.
BA
  • The candidates must have completed a 10+2 in any stream.
  • Candidate must have a valid JELET/ JISUEE score.
B.Sc
  • The candidates must have passed the 10+2 examination in the science stream with a minimum of 45% marks with the respective subject compulsory.
  • Candidate must have a valid JISUEE score.
BHM
  • Candidates must have 10+2 in any stream with 50% marks.
BBA LLB
  • The candidates must have completed 10+ 2 in any discipline from a board with a minimum of 45% marks.
  • For reserve category students, a minimum of 40% marks is required.
  • Candidate must have a valid JISUEE score.
LLB
  • The candidates must have completed a degree in any discipline from a board with a minimum of 45% marks.
  • For reserve category students, a minimum of 40% marks is required.
  • Candidate must have a valid JISUEE score.
BMLT
  • The candidates must have passed 10+2 examination in the science stream with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, and Mathematics as the main subjects with a minimum of 50% marks.
  • For reserve category students, a minimum of 45% marks is required.
  • The candidate must have a valid JISUEE score.
B.Pharm
  • The candidates must have passed the 10+2 examination with Physics & Chemistry as compulsory Biology/ Mathematics as the 3rd subject with a minimum of 45% marks.
  • For reserve category students, a minimum of 40% marks is required.
  • Candidate must have a valid JISUEE score.
Diploma
  • The candidates must have passed class 10th from a recognized board.
PGDBM (Pharmacovigilance)
  • The candidate must have passed B.Sc (all Life Science streams), B.Pharm, D.Pharm, M.Pharm, B.Pharm (Ayur), MBBS, MD, MDS, BHMS, BVSc, BPT, etc.
MBA
  • The candidates must have completed a graduation degree & 10+2 from a recognized board with a minimum of 50% marks.
  • Candidates must have a valid XAT/ CAT/ MAT/ JISUEE score.
M.Sc
  • The candidates must have completed graduation in relevant field with a minimum of 50% marks.
  • For reserve category candidates minimum mark of 45% is required.
  • Candidates must have a valid JISUEE score.
LLM
  • The candidates must have completed an LLB course (either a 3-year law course or a 5-year integrated course) as approved by BCI with a minimum of 45% marks.
  • For reserve category candidates minimum marks are 40%.
  • Candidates must have a valid JISUEE score.
