The CLAT 2026 registration has commenced at consortiumofnlus.ac.in. Candidates can apply until October 31, 2025. The CLAT 2026 examination is set to take place on December 7, 2025.
Admission to the first year of the 3- year, LL.B. degree programme is made strictly on merit. To be eligible for admission, a candidate must pass the Bachelor degree under any stream or its equivalent recognized by the university, securimg 45% marks in aggregate in case of general category applicants and 40% marks in case of ST/SC and OBC applicants, and be less than 30 years of age as on 1st Jan, of the year of admission for general and 35 years or less for ST/SC/OBC.
A common Admission Test (CAT) is conducted by the university for admission. Candidates who have passed the Higher secondary examination (10+2) or its equivalent examination securing not less than 45% marks in aggregate are eligible to seat for Common Admission Test (CAT).There is a relaxation of 5% marks for SC/ST/OBC candidates.The candidates should be less than or equal to 20 years on 1st january of the year of admission for general and 22 years or less for ST/SC/OBC.
An Entrance Test is conducted by Jorhat Law College for admission into LL.M Course. A Candidate to take admission in LL.Must have 50% marks in aggregate in LL.B-3 Years/B.A-B.Sc-B.Com.LLB-5years integrated course recognised by University Grant Commission(UGC) & Bar Council of India(BCI) There will be relaxation for the SC/SC/ST/OBC/Disabled Candidates
