The GATE 2026 Admit Card for Computer Science & IT will be available on January 2, 2026 at gate2026.iitg.ac.in. The CS exam is scheduled for February 8, 2026, and will be held in two sessions: CS1 from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM and CS2 from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM.
The GATE 2026 schedule for all 30 papers is now out. The exams will take place on February 7, 8, 14, and 15, 2026. CS and CE will be conducted in two shifts, while the remaining papers will have a single shift. Admit cards will be released on January 2, 2026.
The GATE 2026 mock tests for all subjects are now available on gate2026.iitg.ac.in. The examination is scheduled for February 7, 8, 14, and 15, while the admit cards will be issued on January 2, 2026.
Admission is strictly on the basis of merit.
The candidates shall be an Indian National.
Candidates should have undergone the B-Tech/BE course in an Institution approved by AICTE and recognized by APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University.
Candidates who have appeared / going to appear for the final semester examinations April/May 2017 can also apply, provided they have passed all the papers up to 6th semester exams.
Candidates should have a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in the engineering degree examination in the relevant subject.
For SC/ST candidates, a pass in the engineering degree course is sufficient.
For SEBC students, a minimum of 54% aggregate marks in the engineering degree examination is mandatory.
Rounding off of the percentage of marks to the nearest whole number is not permitted.
Candidates, who have passed AMIE / AMIETE Examinations and satisfying the following conditions, are eligible for admission.
They must have valid GATE score.
A minimum of 55% marks for section B in AMIE/AMIETE examination.
Minimum three years of Professional experience in the field of Specialization after acquiring the qualifying degree.
Those who are having valid GATE score and who are waiting for the result of the supplementary examinations of the above or previous semesters can also apply. Confirmation of admission of such candidates shall be subject to the production of qualifying degree on or before August 15, 2017
Admission to the Govt. Quota will be done by the college itself from the Rank list published by the Director of Technical Education, Kerala.
For Govt. Quota, candidates have to apply to the College in the prescribed application form. Students are advised to apply to Directorate of Technical Education also (website www.dtekerala.gov.in), if they would like to be considered in Government quota.
Admission shall normally be restricted to those with valid GATE score. However, this stipulation is relaxed in the case of Sponsored candidates.
In case seats remain vacant due to lack of candidates with valid GATE score, candidates from Kerala State without valid GATE score will be considered against such vacancies. If seats are still remaining vacant, candidates from other states will be considered for admission.
