Lloyd Law College is established under the genesis of Satilila Charitable Society (SCS) in the year 2003. The college is permanently affiliated to Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut & the affiliation is approved by the Bar Council of India (The Patron of Professional Legal Education & Profession in India). To develop a competitive International environment and to promote global legal consciousness in the community for realization of goals of the society and objectives embodied in the Constitution of India, Lloyd Law College came into existence in 2003 with the idea of training youngsters to become responsible, law-abiding persons. Lloyd Law College works towards the growth, development and formation of such a generation of students who possess the intellectual genius, moral consciousness and social responsibility to ensure the Rule of Law, not just locally but also propagating the same globally. As we lead the way in legal professional education, the onus is on us to show the way in integrating the rule of law within the society and remove any discrimination with respect to person, property or community in the society. The College is a breeding ground for Judges, Legislators and Public Servants in the making which would form part of the governing system in the future. We endeavor to make them best in whatever they do and polish them into professionals who would make a mark in the legal arena. Our mission is to endeavor towards bringing social, political and economic change. This mission is achieved only with committed students who are keen towards their education. The faculty members and staff at Lloyd give the best to the students through a fine combination of curricular and co-curricular activities. The various cells regularly organize competitions and training programs. The Moot Court competition, Legal Aid Clinic trips, literary cell's activities and Personality Development, Language and Computer Skill classes seek to develop a well rounded professional. The college makes sure that the years in college are utilized in learning the skills needed in a good lawyer. Thus, attention is paid in sharpening a student's reading and research ability. The Training (Internship) & Placement Cell of the college has drafted an 'Internship Policy' for better dissemination of the rights and duties of the students. The college is also associated with institutions like SILF (Society of Indian Law Firm) and MILAT (Menon Institutes of Legal Advocacy and Training) to promote the skill development of its students through internship programs. Training and Placement cell is committed to promote its students with specific objective; Expose students to the law in operation in contexts where each student will come to perceive aspects of law in practical scenario, which cannot be learnt from reading or hearing about it. Enable students to relate the different areas of legal practice to the importance of developing the skill of legal research such as communication, drafting, problem solving and practice management. Enable students to observe and reflect upon the values of ethical standard and conduct of legal profession in practice and to develop their own attitude of professional responsibility. The Training and Placement cell provides equal opportunities to all students. It has formulated certain benchmarks for evaluating the performance of students. These benchmarks are classified under Internship Selection Benchmarks and Placement Selection Benchmarks. The criteria for selection of students is based on a student's academic credentials, his/her attendance through the semester, his/her participation in legal events and involvememnt in research and publication.
There is one auditorium in Lloyd Law College equipped with the latest audio visual facilities having seating capacity of 300 people. A Seminar Hall is equipped with the latest audio visual facilities for guest lectures, seminars, presentations etc. A Conference Hall is equipped with the latest audio visual facilities for Meetings, Interviews, Short Presentations etc.
Moot Court activities are a thrust area of the Lloyd Law College. The College strives to integrate the theory and practice of Law in campus settings through regular, bimonthly, compulsory moot court sessions. The students are trained to improve their analytical, research, oratory and writing skills which would aid them to be successful in their careers.
The College has two huge Moot Court Halls which help provide the right atmosphere for the students to practice their mooting skills. The Moot Court rooms are competently equipped with the modern infrastructure and facilities.
