Madras Christian College is an autonomous college, affiliated with the University of Madras, Tamil Nadu and was founded on 3rd April 1837 by the Rev. John Anderson, a missionary from the Church of Scotland. The institute is accredited by NAAC with an A grade. Madras Christian College offers education to all irrespective of caste and community. MCC is also approved by UGC. The institute has also signed 15 MOU’s with various educational institutions and industries for the overall development of the students.
The college offers a wide range of Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses in a variety of fields, including Science, Arts, Management, Commerce, Hotel Management etc. Apart from these programmes, the college provides M.Phil. programmes in a variety of disciplines.
