Maneklal Nanavati Law College - MNLC
Maneklal Nanavati Law College (MNLC), offers education in the field of Law with courses such as BA LLB, LLB etc.. The College has established in the year 2007. The College has the distinction of giving to the Judiciary, the Bar, Universities, administration, and business and industry great luminaries. The past students of the College have scaled peaks in various walks of life. Maneklal Nanavati Law College ranks among one of the premier institutions of the Gujarat Law Society located at Lal Darwaja, the centre of the city of Ahmedabad. In June 1961, the College was inaugurated by the first Chief Justice of the High Court of Gujarat, Hon’ble Mr. Justice K. T. Desai. The College was the third Law College established by the Gujarat Law Society in order to cater the need of the society. The College was the only afternoon Law College of the Gujarat Law Society at the time of establishment. Initially the College was named as the “New Law College”. In the year 1976, the name of the College was changed as “Maneklal Nanavati Law College” from the name of advocate shri Maneklal Nanavati. Late Shri Maneklal Nanavati was an eminent lawyer of the State of Gujarat, started his practice from a small village of Gujarat, Jambusar.The college being one of the oldest law College of Gujarat and prt of the GLS and highly respected among the society is proud to have permanent affiliated with the Bar Council of India, University Grants Commission (UGC) and Gujarat University. Being the part of GLS and its affiliation stands united with Gujarat University & the Bar Council of Gujarat.

Maneklal Nanavati Law College Placements
The college has a placement cell for helping its students in obtaining employment. The interested students enroll their names and particulars with the College. The College helps the students to get placement in law firms or at the office of senior advocates or informs the students about the competitive examinations requiring special knowledge of law, such as Judicial Magistrate (First Class) and Civil Judge Examination, Law Officer in any company etc.
The College has very specious Library room having collection of more than 10,000 Law books and reference books, Law Journals, encyclopedias and Magazines. The Library is equipped with computer and internet facility as well as the AIR Case Finder software for perusing the judgments of the Supreme Court. The Library is having facility for the research work. The Library is partially computerized with the ‘College’ version of Soul Softare of INFLIBNET. The Library remains open to all its users from 12-00 p.m. to 7-00 p.m. on week days. The library room located on the first floor of the College building with sufficient seating accommodation provides optimum conditions for its users.
