NIT Trichy Admission 2024 - Dates, Form, Online Process, Fees

NIT Trichy admission 2024 for B.Tech courses are expected to begin from June 10, 2024, along with the JoSAA counselling registrations. Candidates who have qualified JEE Main will be eligible to participate in the counselling process. For admission to the M.Tech course, a GATE score is considered. To gain admission to NIT Trichy, candidates must first fill out the application form available on the official website. After successfully completing the application, they can proceed with the NIT Trichy admission process. Only those who pass the entrance exam will be considered for admission. Additional details about the NIT Trichy selection process are provided below. It's important to note that candidates must submit the NIT Trichy application fee and other required documents along with their application. Final admission will only be granted to those who successfully clear all rounds. After passing the entrance exam, candidates will participate in either counselling or an interview/group discussion, depending on the course they've applied for. The registration process for M.Tech and M.Arch is conducted offline, while the process for PhD and MS by Research is conducted online.

NIT Trichy Admission Process 2024 through Entrance Exam

Step 1: Before starting with the NIT Trichy admission process, candidates must keep the following in mind:

• Candidates must meet the eligibility criteria set for the respective course.
• Next, candidates must apply, appear and qualify:

JEE Main for NIT Trichy B.Tech admission

GATE for NIT Trichy M.Tech admission

CAT for NIT Trichy MBA admission

NIMCET for NIT Trichy MCA admission

JAM for MSc admission 

Step 2: Candidates then need to start with the NIT Trichy application process. The application process is explained here under:

NIT Trichy Application Process 2024

• First and foremost, candidates need to visit the respective entrance exam official website or apply via NIT Trichy official website.
• Next, candidates need to register themselves and fill up the application form online.
• After filling up the necessary details, candidates need to attach the documents as requested in the application form.
• Next, candidates need to save the application form and submit it.
• After submission, candidates will be directed to the payment page, wherein they need to pay the entrance exam fees.
• This will mark the end of the NIT Trichy application process. Candidates must keep a copy of the submitted application form along with the payment receipt for future references if any.

Step 3: After the application is submitted candidates will be shortlisted for counselling or group discussion and personal interview depending on the respective NIT Trichy courses selection process. The basis of the evaluation will be based on the entrance test cut-off. 

NIT Trichy JoSAA cut off 2022 will be considered for admission in B.Tech and B.Arch programme for the year 2024. NIT Trichy GATE cut off 2024 will be considered for admission in M.Tech for 2024. Similarly, NIT Trichy JAM cut off 2024 and CAT cut off 2022 will be considered for admission into 2024. 

Step 4: Shortlisted candidates then need to register for counselling as well as pay the counselling fee. The counselling will be conducted by the respective conductive bodies based on the entrance exams where candidates need to select NIT Trichy as their preferred institute.

For NIT Trichy B.Tech and B.Arch admission, the counselling body is JoSAA, for M.Tech the counselling body in CCMT, for MSc admission the counselling body is CCMN.

Step 5: After the counselling session, candidates need to get their documents verified and pay the NIT Trichy admission fees. This will make the end of the NIT Trichy admission process. 

NIT Trichy Admission Process 2024 through Merit

Step 1: NIT Trichy admission is done on merit for MA, PhD and MS by Research courses. The NIT Trichy selection process for the following courses  are set by the institute itself. First and foremost, candidates must meet the eligibility criteria set for the respective course.
