The Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies Bangalore was established in 1981. NMIMS Bangalore is today recognised as a globally reputed university with strong industry linkages. NMIMS Bangalore city campus started in the year 2008. The Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal (SVKM) laid the foundation stone of the esteemed university. SVKM’s NMIMS Bangalore has been granted ‘Category-I University’ status by Graded Autonomy Regulation 2018 by the Ministry of Education and UGC.

NMIMS has tied up with Grenoble Ecole De Management, France, for the student exchange programme as part of the International student exchange under which MBA students at NMIMS Bengaluru will complete their first year at the Bengaluru campus and a trimester in their second year at Grenoble, France. NMIMS Bengaluru campus has also signed an exclusive MoU with CIMA, London to provide financial intelligence to students. This MoU allows students of the university who enrol on the CGMA Finance Leadership Program (FLP) to obtain a CIMA Qualification. As per the NMIMS Bangalore placement report, out of 175 students, 44% of students were placed from the engineering category. The NMIMS Bangalore highest salary package was recorded at Rs 19.58 LPA whereas the median CTC was Rs 10.65 LPA.

The Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies scholarships are based on the Central Sector Scheme of Scholarships for college and university students.

• The Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for college and university students offers financial support to the economically weaker students from general, SC, and ST communities and also to physically handicapped students. The objective of this scheme is to provide financial assistance to meritorious students from economically weaker families to meet their day-to-day expenses while pursuing higher studies.
• The NMIMS Bangalore scholarships are awarded to students on the basis of their results in the Senior Secondary Examination.
• Students who are above 80% of successful candidates in the relevant stream for a particular board of examinations in 10+2 and have a family income of less than Rs 6 LPA are eligible for consideration in this scheme.

The Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies has set up a new campus at Village Hobli, Jigani in Anekal Taluk on Bannerghatta Road in the garden city of Bangalore. The Executive PGDM programme is available for individuals at the Bannerghatta campus of NMIMS Bangalore.

For NMIMS Bangalore PGDM admission 

• Candidates applying should be graduates with consistently good academic records.
• The candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of work experience after graduation.

For NMIMS Bangalore MBA admission 

• Candidates are selected in NMIMS MBA admissions through the process of NMAT by GMAC and CDPI.
• Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university with a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate.

For NMIMS Bangalore BA LLB admission (Hons.)/BBA LLB (Hons.) 

• The candidate should have passed the 12th standard examination conducted by a recognised board/university with a minimum of 50% marks.
• NMIMS LAT/CLAT score or LSAT score is a must for admission to this programme.

For NMIMS Bangalore B.Sc admission (Applied Statistics and Analytics)

• Higher secondary school or equivalent board with minimum 50% aggregate in any stream with mathematics/statistics and science/commerce/arts.

For NMIMS Bangalore admission in BBA/B.Sc (Finance)/B.Com (Hons.)/B.Sc (Economics)

• The candidate should have passed the class 12th examination with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognised board or university.

A summer internship is an integral part of the academic curriculum at the school of Business Management, NMIMS Bangalore. It is a non-credit course and is carried out after the first year of the full-time NMIMS Bangalore MBA programme. The duration of this summer internship programme is about six to eight weeks. A viva is conducted at the end of the internship by the faculty mentor. It is mandatory to clear the viva to progress to the second year of the NMIMS Bangalore MBA programme.
