NMIMS Mumbai B.Arch : Fees, Courses, Eligibility, Placement & Admission 2024

Overall: I am a 2nd-year B.Arch student at NMIMS’s Balwant Sheth School of Architecture. So far, I have relatively good experience at the college. Initially, I thought I could not keep up with the pace here. But, my teachers and batchmates helped me a lot. In the last one and a half years, I learned so many things from my teachers.

Placement: Our school has a placement cell to help us get internships and jobs. Students can join various internships in top design firms to learn various skills hands-on. Some of these design firms offering internships are Nude Studio, Perkins Eastman, Architecture Brio, Broadway Malyan, Red Architects, and many others.

Infrastructure: Good students are a must for any architecture school. Our school has state-of-the-art studios and design workshops. There are also a computer laboratory and a library to help us with our study. We have internet access in all these areas which further helps us.

Faculty: The core faculty members at our school are really great. Their lectures are very informative as well as interactive. We also have visiting faculty members who come to teach us as per the requirements.

Hostel: Though hostels are good, they can be a bit expensive for some students. I pay around Rs 2,50,000 as the hostel fee. My room has an AC and all other basic facilities. There is also proper security. But, I think the food options at the mess can be better.

Overall: I am presently studying B.Arch at NMIMS Mumbai. This is my third year. The college is one of the best colleges for B.Arch in Mumbai. The institute accepts NATA scores for admission. One needs to score good rank in NATA for admission in NMIMS Mumbai.

Placement: The placement is the strength of NMIMS Mumbai. The institute ensures every student gets placed in reputed organisations. Till now, I have done two summer internships provided by NMIMS Mumbai placement cell. Numerous renowned companies hire B.Arch students every year.

Infrastructure: The campus has a well stocked library with an adequate number of books, research papers, journals etc. for students. Further, there are well maintained indoor and outdoor playgrounds, cafeteria, hostels, seminar halls, auditorium, fully air conditioned classrooms etc.

Faculty: The faculty at Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies Mumbai is very supportive and friendly. There are teachers with industrial experience. The college also has renowned international visiting faculty.

Hostel: This is my third year in the hostel and I have not faced any inconvenience. All basic facilities are available. The mess serves nutritious and delicious food. However, the fee is a bit expensive.

Overall: B.Arch at Balwant Seth School of Architecture, NMIMS Mumbai, is a very popular programme among its students. I am really proud that I have received the opportunity of pursuing B.Arch from NMIMS Mumbai. Students with JEE Main or NATA scores can only apply for this course.

Placement: Our school has a dedicated placement cell to provide placement opportunities. Students also receive opportunities to complete their internships at top architecture firms and design studios. Some of these recruiters are Nude Studio, Perkins Eastman, Architecture Brio, Red Architects, etc.

Infrastructure: Our entire campus is fully air-conditioned and internet accessible. Moreover, we have design studios, design workshops, computer laboratories, and other resource centres to improve our knowledge and hone our skills.

Faculty: The core faculty members at NMIMS Mumbai’s BSSA are highly-qualified individuals with IIT or NIT backgrounds. Our school also has a number of visiting faculty members who deliver lectures and classes from time to time.

Hostel: NMIMS Mumbai’s hostel facilities are really good. There are a number of hostels with AC and non-AC rooms. The hostel fee generally ranges between Rs 2,00,000 - 3,00,000 for 10 months.

Overall: I am a student of B.Arch at NMIMS Mumbai. This is my third year and I can say that I made the right choice by getting admission in the college. Right from day one, the faculty and seniors were helpful. NMIMS Mumbai B.Arch curriculum not only focuses on theoretical knowledge it ensures practical knowledge is also provided to students. To make college ambience joyful, extra curricular activities are conducted at regular intervals.

Placement: The college has an excellent placement percentage. Every year eminent companies like HCL, Deloitte, Infosys, Ambuja Cement etc. hire NMIMS Mumbai students. After every semester we are offered summer and winter internships respectively. NMIMS Mumbai placement cell provides career counselling to students and seminars, mock interviews etc. are conducted to prepare students for placements.

Infrastructure: The huge campus of NMIMS Mumbai is equipped with modern facilities and infrastructure. The college has department based laboratories that allows students to perform practicals at the campus. A few more NMIMS Mumbai facilities are smart classrooms, well equipped hostels, cafeteria, sports facilities, fully air conditioned auditorium etc.

Faculty: The institute’s faculty ensures the course syllabus is completed within stipulated time frame. The faculty guidance is not only limited to classrooms. They provide guidance to students for their professional and personal life. Extra classes are conducted if demanded by students. NMIMS Mumbai faculty members have rich industrial and teaching experience.

Hostel: Both boys and girls hostels are available at Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies Mumbai campus. Since I am a local student, I don’t stay in the hostel. My friends who stay in the hostel are happy and satisfied with the facilities available at the hostel. Their only concern is that the mess menu is not changed regularly.
